Matt: Thank you for posting. I saw the sale early on Sat. morning June 11 and mentioned it in my post.

I didn't buy any. Roses Unlimited no longer sell Austins, and only Austins and a few Old Garden roses can live long in my zone 5a.

kathyc_z10 That must have been disappointing. I did wonder how shipping this time of year in the heat would affect the roses. Maybe it saved you some trouble to not get them this time.

I read the list and was tempted, but then thought I would rather pay full price next Spring to get a few exceptionally rare beautiful ones I have wanted that were sold out.

@berrypiez6b that is so stunning! I have been wanting Barni roses. How does it do for you, especially in the heat?

@portlandmysteryrose I know... I read through the list, started checking things on HMF (mainly Maggie), and then was like NO Magpie, NO!

Just checking - yup, all of my roses are the result of just a little looksy what they have...

111plisa su Gypsy Soul is beautiful !

I haven't bought any Barni roses yet, but sure intend to after researching what RU has.

The photo of Stile 800 is not mine, it's from the internet . Stile is one of the Barni roses I'm considering ordering in Fall. This is another photo of the same rose, it's quite changeable.

    DON'T LOOK portlandmysteryrose,

    Oh , too late.

I have more pictures, but I guess there isn't any point if no one will see them.

Then again someone might want to make absolutely sure they don't see this post.

    More Stile 800 .

@librarian_gardner_8b_pnw my duchess de Brabant did not come back after winter and we are zone 7, does jot get that super cold here.

@berrypiez6b lol I love the Barnes roses, a lady in the FB group, grows them in AL, they do really well for her. Which gives me hope as VA is heat and humidity central too. Stile 800 reminds me of Amour de molene https://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.320488

111plisa su Amore de Molene is another one I would love to get, it looks so beautiful in this video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPtRUIZw_Yw

Do you have AdeMolene, or plan to buy it ? I wish someone would give an update how it performs. A forum member thought it was a weak grower. I don't really mind, as long as it doesn't outright die.

Antico Amore is another Barni that RU carries,

I'll have to email Pat sometime after her sale is over to ask questions about the ones I am tempted to get next Fall. She will know if my location is too cold. You probably have a much better home for them.

Is it terrible of me to have just planted my last order and be hunting for more already ?

Librarian, my Duchess is doing fine. She’d probably like a sunnier spot but otherwise no problem. I think you’d be fine with her.

@berrypiez6b not at all, my entire backyard is a pot ghetto. I need to stop buying roses, but so far haven't. Amour de molene, does have stunning blooms but just a stingy bloomer and plant is not very vigorous. My favorites are Garden delight, Boscobel, celestial night, Julia child, heaven on earth(heavy nodding blooms but so beaitiful), Rio samba, munstead wood, pope John Paul, grand dame, mother of pearl, sweet mademoiselle..are all very effortless and easy, and lots of blooms. Oh how could I forget Zaide and Beverly(RRD got them too) but they were always in bloom with no care. Definitely check out Zaide-absolutely stunning..perfect for a cottage type garden..4-5 inch blooms, had let mine grow out to a wide shrub( 7 wide x 5ft) ..had 100's of blooms everytime..we get high temps with heavy humidity. https://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.318929

111plisa su You must have loads of work, but it's the best kind.

I purposely planted all my roses in ground tight , knowing I would have to line two sides of the house with my vegetable and herb 5 gallon buckets over summer.

Thanks for the wonderful rose report on many I have never yet seen. Of those you listed I've only had Boscobel. It was sickly from the beginning with canker and only reached a foot tall in two years with very few blooms . The color and fragrance were exceptional I thought.

I see on HMF Zaide has almost all EXCELLENT ratings. Pink is my favorite.

This Fall I want to do a Roses Unlimited order , Heaven on Earth wasn't a consideration but now it is.
