Not if you don't tell anyone or post pics of your room, but now that you have it may well come to the attention of the Houzz Decor Control special forces. Better to delete your post, destroy your hard drive, and move.

These don‘t appear to go with the rug anyway (at least on my screen) so i say you can lose them with no regrets. Perhaps get one smaller pillow a person could rest their head on if reading?

Right! Three pillows per sofa max for me. I don’t understand having to move a stack of pillows just to sit down. I love cuddling up next to a down pillow (or napping on one) but you only need one at a time! If you hate pillows maybe a throw for color?

I find them very uncomfortable, though I do like the look. Throw pillows would instantly end up on the floor in my house. I like to admire them in everyone else's home.

I use a minimal amount of pillows on all my seating. Short people and those with back problems sometimes need a pillow to prop behind their back, specially on deeper sofas/chairs.

Those look to be too large for that sofa anyway. Maybe half the size might be more comfortable, IMO.

I use our throw pillows a lot — behind me on the deep sofa and to snuggle or hold in my lap on others. Also to lie down or as an armrest if I’m in the middle. We have the really squishy, moldable kind. If you find they are in the way, lose them. It just creates an extra step for you when you want to relax! I agree that a throw could be nice for color.

I would loose those pillows, for sure. But, I think you need something on the sofa which will bring the colors of the rug up on it.
