Need help with a 10 x 12 den.

Room is being repurposed into a den/sitting room. Chairs have just been reupholstered, and I'm looking for the right area rug (one shown is waiting to be donated.) Existing paint is Ralph Lauren Parchment. Photos taken on a gray rainy day, however room faces south so gets good light until late afternoon. Have some ideas, but am interested in hearing what the Houzz followers have to say. Thanks!
