The living room and dining room are arranged to the right and left of the foyer, and are entered through deep set portals suggesting classical colonnades. These architectural features allow sweeping vistas between the rooms and, at the same time, give each room a comforting sense of enclosure. The travertine of the foyer is repeated on the top of lacquered cabinets and in the fireplace surround, bringing a unifying send of luxury to the public rooms.
