This Big Horn Country Club house has a wine room with glass walls so guests in the living room can see the displays of the owner's wine collection on three walls. In addition to this style wine rack, there are also wine racks to the left that display the individual bottles at a 53 degree angle so the label is easy to read. We also designed and made a huge rack to hold 1,12o bottles on the third wall. This large rack had room for unopened cases between the legs, diamond-shaped niches for standard-sized and magnum bottles, and the top was a bin style which would hold another 400 hundred bottles of wine. Custom wine cellar in the Dry Creek Valley for a winery Healdsburg Sonoma Napa San Francisco Bay Winery Custom Wine Cellar Tasting Room This project took place at a Winery in the Dry Creek Valley area in Healdsburg, Sonoma, California. (near San Francisco and Napa) The owners wanted to outfit a winery tasting room with usable wine racking for display and sale usage. The custom wine cellar design provided by Vintage Cellars showcases a long tasting countertop with wine case storage and diamond bins below, topped by a high reveal angled display, topped again by a library wall of single deep wine bottles. The arched space and countertop stretched across the middle provides enough space for decanting a wine bottle or two, as well as ample room for a wine flight pouring. The room also incorporates a small island with a waterfall tiered racking feature attached. Waterfall features such as this are a stunning addition in rustic custom wine cellars such as this. We provided our original wine racking of mahogany blocks and stainless steel rods for individual bottle storage; the client added custom millwork for diamond bin, wood case storage and horizontal magnum storage. As long as you don't have a furnace or boiler in the room, you can convert a basement utility room to a wine cellar. The wine bins are open in the back so you can reach through to access water valves. Spray paint walls and ceiling (including all exposed pipes) in a matt black and have simple diamond shaped wine bins built to fit. We used leftover terra-cotta tiles to warm up the concrete cellar floor, and an old piece of moisture resistant cypress as the tasting bar.
