have a similar kitchen remodel in progress. was thinking of doing a similar backsplash idea (large subway tile about 15 inches high, with a different, geometric pattern from stove top to ceiling the width of the hood/stove. I won't be adding any upper cabinets on this wall with the stove and hood, just a couple of medium length, open shelves. I do pay close attention to resale value as I tend to love to remodel. is this backsplash idea too specific to an owner's personal taste or is it appealing to a wide range of buyers?
