Dolores Heeb Residence

Eclectic Kitchen, San Francisco

This shot of the combination of materials shows the softness of color variations. The cement counters were poured using 5 variations of mud mixed slightly at the time the casts were made in the mold. This allowed for a stone type look. The slabs were joined by 1/8" copper bar at angles across the long counter. The interior cabinet light bulbs cast triangular reflections of light on the copper screening in the red accent cabinets. We added a special handmade trim at the bottom of the refinished cabinets, to hide the light fixtures. The wood we used matched the dark wood capitals over the cabinet doors, making a connection with the new and old woods. Marti Cagwin photographer
