The client wanted an eat in kitchen and an open concept kitchen, but also loved the idea of a kitchen island. The long kitchen was too slim for a center island so we used a large one at the end of the kitchen to serve many purposes. It serves for casual laptop surfing and gazing along the river; buffet serving for entertainment, extra kitchen prep space, and daily dining.
