In this master bath, we removed the jacuzzi tub and installed a free standing Compton 70” white acrylic tub. Sienna porcelain tile 12 x 24 in Bianco color was installed on the room floor and walls of the shower. Linear glass/stone/metal accent tile was installed in the shower. The new vanity cabinets are Medalllion Gold, Winslow Flat Panel, Maple Finish in Chai Latte classic paint with Champangne bronze pulls. On the countertop is Silestone 3cm Quartz in Pulsar color with single roundover edge. Delta Cassidy Collection faucets, floor mount tub filler faucet, rain showerhead with handheld slide bar, 24” towel bar, towel ring, double robe hooks, toilet paper holder, 12” and 18” grab bars. Two Kohler rectangular undermount white sinks where installed. Wainscot wall treatment in painted white was installed behind the tub.

Faux bamboo finished flat paneled DeWils Taurus cabinets pop in this gray monochromatic modern guest bathroom. Atlas Homewares 8" chrome pulls accentuate the horizontal theme carried throughout. Cabinets are topped with Pental quartz counters in "Coastal Gray," undercounter Kohler Arhcer sink and Grohe Concetto faucet. Backsplash is a 3x6" white glass subway tile that we had sandblasted to create the frosted finish. Flooring and shower walls are 12x24" Limestone tiles in "Gris," with matching colored 2x2" shower pan. Grohe Eurodisc Cosmopolitan chrome fixtures match the coordinate with the chrome bathroom accessories and shower glass door handle. The master bath was part of the additions added to the house in the late 1960s by noted Arizona architect Bennie Gonzales during his period of ownership of the house. Originally lit only by skylights, additional windows were added to balance the light and brighten the space, A wet room concept with undermount tub, dual showers and door/window unit (fabricated from aluminum) complete with ventilating transom, transformed the narrow space. A heated floor, dual copper farmhouse sinks, heated towel rack, and illuminated spa mirrors are among the comforting touches that compliment the space.

The existing Georgian mansion, located in this Landmarked district, had remained largely untouched since the early 1960s. The gut renovation included an enlargement and modernization of the kitchen and family room, a new children’s play area and reconfigured service stair. The main stair was restored and second-floor landing was enlarged and opened to provide daylight to the center of the house. Here, a welcoming sitting area leads to a reconfigured master bedroom and dressing suite, a study, bedroom suites for the children, and an attic space for drum practice. Details included restoration and enhancement of existing millwork, fireplace stonework and trim; with new finishes and furnishings by Kimberly Hall Creative. A high-velocity central HVAC system was added along with a full electrical upgrade. Exterior work included a new custom side entrance, transom and side lites and new custom iron handrails.
