Another new addition to the existing house was this sunroom. There were several door options to choose from, but the one that made the final cut was from Pella Windows and Doors. It's a now-you-see-it-now-you-don't effect that elicits all kinds of reactions from the guests. And another item, which you cannot see from this picture, is the Phantom Screens that are located above each set of doors. Another surprise element that takes one's breath away. The living area displays a floor created from Trend Surfaces in Polar Ice color. Refined and bright, this product line boasts an elegant finish and a very strong resistance to impacts and chemical agents.

The Goody Nook, named by the owners in honor of one of their Great Grandmother's and Great Aunts after their bake shop they ran in Ohio to sell baked goods, thought it fitting since this space is a place to enjoy all things that bring them joy and happiness. This studio, which functions as an art studio, workout space, and hangout spot, also doubles as an entertaining hub. Used daily, the large table is usually covered in art supplies, but can also function as a place for sweets, treats, and horderves for any event, in tandem with the kitchenette adorned with a bright green countertop. An intimate sitting area with 2 lounge chairs face an inviting ribbon fireplace and TV, also doubles as space for them to workout in. The powder room, with matching green counters, is lined with a bright, fun wallpaper, that you can see all the way from the pool, and really plays into the fun art feel of the space. With a bright multi colored rug and lime green stools, the space is finished with a custom neon sign adorning the namesake of the space, "The Goody Nook”.

A midcentury 24 unit condominium and apartment complex on the historical Governor's Mansion tract is restored to pristine condition. Focusing on compact urban life, each unit optimizes space, material, and utility to shape modern low-impact living spaces.

This midcentury modern house was transformed from a municipal garage into a private house in the late 1950’s by renowned modernist architect Paul Rudolph. At project start the house was in pristine condition, virtually untouched since it won a Record Houses award in 1960. We were tasked with bringing the house up to current energy efficiency standards and with reorganizing the house to accommodate the new owners’ more contemporary needs, while also respecting the noteworthy original design.
