How deep are the picture shelves? - Wondering how deep the picture shelves are - they blend in to the wall nicely because they are painted the same color.

The shelves are approx. 10cm deep and that includes a narrow raised lip on the front edge which allows for the artwork to lean.

Do you remember how high the lip extends in the front? I like the height of the lip because it allows the bottom of the frame to show.

That looks to me like a pine top and a steel base. Of course, if you're having it made custom, you don't have to stick to the original materials.

This was the company who we purchased the table from: http://www.antonandk.co.uk/

I'm afraid we can't remember the materials, but perhaps you could approach Anton & K with a picture to see if they can advise?

Good luck with your project!

The table was purchased from an antiques dealer local to the property - unfortunately! Antiques stores are always a super starting point for unusual or striking pieces of furniture, so I would suggest you try some local to yourself and see how you get on. Otherwise, let us know what sort of thing you are looking for and we can make some suggestions...

A similar look can be obtained by personalizing our Cape Anne Dining Table in Sandlewood with a Mystic Carbon painted base.

This particular chandelier was found in a local antique shop. It's worth having a look around similar places near you because they have such a beautiful selection of unusual things.

These slip covers were sourced online by the client, so I'm afraid we are not able to give a particular recommendation.

This lamp was actually sourced as a one-off piece from an online supplier - sorry! However, it might be worth having a look around some local antiques and furniture suppliers local to yourself. Most of the furniture in this home was sourced that way. Good luck in your search!

Picture Shelves - FYI, make certain your shelves are out of direct, and indirect sunlight or reflected sun (pool, or water feature). Those pictures, as well as the finish on the shelves, will be bleached. Just one who speaks from experience, unfortunately.

8. Put up picture shelves. If putting up a gallery wall of artwork has you feeling overwhelmed, take a different approach and install a row of picture shelves instead. The horizontal lines give the display structure, so you can mix and match sizes and shapes of frames as much as you wish — and with picture shelves, you can swap out your artwork whenever the mood strikes, without measuring or adding nail holes.
