Pocket doors with stained glass inserts

Traditional Dining Room, Los Angeles

These solid Walnut pocket doors divide the dining room from the family room. The theme and motif of the stained glass poppies is made of copper-foil, also known as the Tiffany Technique, which he used to make the famous Tiffany Lamps . Since these doors are seen from both sides, there is no front or back to the stained glass. The three dimensional shape of the panels is an example of there not always needing to be just squares, rectangles and circular openings where art-glass is specified or desired. Photo: Mark levy
