We acquired an old Victorian home in need of complete rehab and set out to be respectful of the historical nature and aesthetic of the home while nudging it forward in a modern, somewhat eclectic, way. Since nearly all of the original details except the floors and a beautiful stair were removed by previous owners, we felt free to use materials and finishes that spoke to the homes history but are decidedly current. The result, a light-filled and colorful home with interesting details in every room, speaks to our aesthetic and design direction.
K Two Designs, Inc.
Clients who enlisted my services two years ago found a home they loved, but wanted to make sure that the newly acquired furniture would fit the space. They called on K Two Designs to work in the existing furniture as well as add new pieces. The whole house was given a fresh coat of white paint, and draperies and rugs were added to warm and soften the spaces.

Luxury Antonovich Design AE
The embodiment of a child's dream is reflected in the children's room interior from Luxury Antonovich Design studio. In this author's children's room interior design you can stay apart from some dogmas and rules. The cozy interior in a classic style acquired charming traits primarily due to the successful color scheme. The combination of blue and cream colors have helped to create a very sunny mood in the interior. Visual lightness and airiness of the space conceal a very sophisticated interior design. Cute ceiling design, where a shallow niche like an island of heaven, filled with tension element is a perfect cause to dream of something pleasant, lying on a comfortable bed. Art painting on the wall with motifs of scenes from favorite fairy tales matches perfectly with the decor motifs of furniture. A wardrobe looks charming, which designers decorated in the style of knight castle. The warmth of home comfort is reflected in the solution to make the floors of dark wood, on which in the center of the room a large soft carpet is located. Dubai children's room design is an ideal habitat for a small apartment owner. It is good to dream, to play and to devote time to favorite hobby
Gorkin Glass Company Incorporated
The Bachman-Wilson house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1954 in Somerset County, NJ. A marvel of architecture and design, the house was was acquired by Crystal Bridges Museum late in 2013, and is in the process of being dismantled and relocated to the museum grounds in Bentonville, AR.
Gorkin Glass was hired to help in the deconstruction and relocation of this historic home. The process was a tedious task that required a company with the depth of knowledge and craftsmanship to dismantle the glass portions of the home. Gorkin Glass was chosen out of hundreds of glass companies in the state of New Jersey based upon their expertise and history of quality for nearly one hundred years.
Allen & James Interior Design
Old architecture combined with new fresh contemporary art and upholstery, Patti Allen created a great space for her long time friend’s second home. She brought fresh contemporary furniture coupled with current edgy colors to call this Asheville retreat their home. Her clients wanted to work around their love for art and special pieces they have acquired.
The rooms had a great feel because of all the light coming into the room that naturally spotlighted their art to make it the focal point. They also had a lot of natural textures with the brick walls so they brought in several pieces of metal to compliment the industrial feel.
The tufted sofa gave comfort and clean lines. The Vanguard chairs gave another option for upholstery in the room but keeping it in a smaller scale to fit in the room with the other pieces. The pops of yellow and turquoise highlighted the clients desire for color.
They used Elite barstools with stainless steel metal that gave simplicity to show off their beautiful granite.
The dining room table was by Stanley furniture and she used Century upholstered chairs to compliment the living room.
The art deco chair is by Dwell Studios. The Stanton geometric rug helped ground your eye and give definition to the seating areas.
The Master bedroom was by Precedent and the fabric flowed nicely with the wall coverings by Lee Jofa. The nightstands were by Vanguard and she spotlighted fuchsia with the chaise.
The guest room had a wall that worked great with the American Leather sleeper sofa against the brick wall. Their art went great with it.
This was a fun project for Patti because she truly enjoys working with lighter pallets, textured fabric and clean architectural lines with pops of color.

Studio MAT Architecture I Interiors
The loft, atop a heritage structure, was acquired with the windows boarded up, wooden trusses braced with metal and brick walls segregating different zones.
Located in Byculla, on the 4th floor of a 100-year-old building, the studio apartment explores the innate tactility and highlights the structural integrity of the heritage structure.
Natural light, ventilation and the objective of utilizing the various vantage points to the fullest were of utmost importance while designing the space. The tactility stays true to the raw, unkempt and stark nature of the space by: retaining the inherent character; revealing surfaces beneath superficial layers of paint and plaster; and re-cycling elements such as discarded doors, salvaged from demolished buildings within the city, and breathing new life into them.
Shuler Architecture
This is another example of the classic second story addition that we do a lot of here in Seattle. A builder client approached us to design the makeover of this house after he acquired it at a foreclosure auction. Our solution repurposes the basement as a large, open entertainment space, guest suite and home office. The main level contains the public functions - Living, Dining, Kitchen and formal Den - while the upper level contains 2 ample children bedrooms and a Master Suite with a large walk-in closet, 5-piece bath, a sleeping area with a Juliet balcony oriented toward a view of the Cascade Mountains. Because of the urban location of this project, zoning and environmental codes tend to be the main form determinant for structures. Setbacks, lot coverage requirements and separation between the main house and the garage were the main contributing factors in this structure’s shape and footprint. Proximity to an old land fill required an extensive methane mitigation system throughout the project site.
Studio 68/32
Designing an object was accompanied by certain difficulties. The owners bought a plot on which there was already a house. Its quality and appearance did not suit customers in any way. Moreover, the construction of a house from scratch was not even discussed, so the architects Vitaly Dorokhov and Tatyana Dmitrenko had to take the existing skeleton as a basis. During the reconstruction, the protruding glass volume was demolished, some structural elements of the facade were simplified. The number of storeys was increased and the height of the roof was increased. As a result, the building took the form of a real English home, as customers wanted.
The planning decision was dictated by the terms of reference. And the number of people living in the house. Therefore, in terms of the house acquired 400 m \ 2 extra.
The entire engineering structure and heating system were completely redone. Heating of the house comes from wells and the Ecokolt system.
The climate system of the house itself is integrated into the relay control system that constantly maintains the climate and humidity in the house.
Officine Gullo
In Portugal, a luxurious private residence is home to the latest project by Officine Gullo. It’s a dream kitchen,
made entirely from the finest materials, such as high-thickness stainless steel for the structure, powder
coated in an original Pastel Blue shade. The colour choice is a tribute to one of the best-known decorative
arts in Portugal, azulejos, whose bright hues, especially in shades of blue and white, are interspersed with
the light ceramic surfaces, sparking ever-changing geometric motifs.
The colour occupies centre stage, expertly paired with burnished brass finishes, such as trims, handles and
details. The burnishing, conducted strictly by the skilled hands of the company’s craftspeople, bestows
texture on the brass, which acquires characterful contrasts with every passing day. The elegant antique
forms are sublimely matched with up-to-the-minute sophisticated kitchen technology. The kitchen comes
equipped with the very best professional refrigeration and cooking appliances. One of the company’s goals
is the creation of a “home restaurant”, enabling every customer to cook at home in the same way that a chef
does at a restaurant.
All the cooking elements are capable of professional performance, yet are manufactured according to the
principles of household ergonomics for everyday home use with the utmost convenience. Due to their
design, non-professional cooks can use all of the available functions. In detail, the project consists of a linear
kitchen with striking walls (4 metres), whose upper part vaunts: two steel wall surfaces at the ends, an
induction stove, a range with 6 high-performance gas burners, a coup de feu, and a smooth and grooved
fry top. The lower part consists of an electric oven and a dishwasher. Above the entire cooking block, a professional
extraction hood and an elegant copper pediment graced with the Florentine fleur-de-lis and two practical
brass shelves for pots. An island stands at the heart of the kitchen, topped with a refined stone counter and
two washbasins with faucets, both entirely in burnished brass. Two dishwashers are nestled in the lower
section of the island alongside drawers and storage space. On the shorter side of the island, space has
been allocated for stools to encourage quality time together during food preparation. The right side of the
kitchen features a signature wall with hand-decorated wooden cornices and masonry, in addition to a set of
built-in appliances, including a refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, blast chiller and a sous-vide machine.

Acquiring a new house is an exciting occasion but often has many challenges. My clients came to me to help modernize and update their new home that clearly had not been touched since the 70s. For the kitchen, we removed the dated orange oak cabinetry, tile counter tops, and cracked terra cotta flooring. This enabled us to start from scratch so we could create a light, bright kitchen in the fog and forest colors of the coastal mountain region of the area. New appliances, hand-forged iron light fixtures, and a luxurious marble counter and backsplash elevate this kitchen while retaining a casual atmosphere.
