The design reveals previously unseen panoramic views of London’s famous skyline and increases the usable floor space and value by reconfiguring access arrangements. The resulting accommodation is divided into 4 suites, with separate bedrooms, bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes and changing spaces, study areas and children’s play space. There is also family kitchen and a large central hub space which is arranged to host both social gatherings of family and friend and more intimate family moments.

Cre8tive Rooms Ltd
We were tasked with transforming this awkward attic space into a sleek and sophisticated cinema room where our client could unwind and entertain whenever they pleased. At the touch of a button this room now comes to life, delivering stunning 4k video and professional Bowers & Wilkins audio in a super cool setting. We also installed video gate control, CCTV and 4K video distribution throughout the house to enhance our client’s existing security and entertainment systems. Managing the entire project from design to completion in less than three months, we could not be happier with the end result.
We opted for a slate grey Screen Innovations motorised, drop-down cinema screen for this project. The screen is ambient light rejecting which means it can be used with the blinds open or closed, and acoustically transparent, which means the sound from the Bowers & Wilkins speakers behind can pass through it completely unaffected.
We used black-out motorised blinds from Q-Motion to block any sunlight from entering the room when the system is in use. We programmed these through Savant to lower as soon as the system is engaged for an effortless and functional solution. We also programmed and installed a bespoke skylight blind which was required in the ceiling.
We used Bowers & Wilkins speakers to create a punchy 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos sound system. This translates to 5 freestanding floor speakers, 1 subwoofer and 4 ceiling speakers. We also opted for a JVC projector to deliver crystal clear 4K picture quality with very little running noise.
Savant allows this otherwise complex system to be controlled seamlessly and effortlessly from a beautifully designed smart phone app. The client also has the opportunity to create their own custom commands depending on how they like to use their system.

Ashton Renovations
The original ensuite bathroom in this condominium required renovations to replace problematic Kitec plumbing. The layout in the space remained the same, but improvements were made to address certain design challenges with lighting, automation, and space. The aim was to create a modern bathroom design with textured wood features, and the feel of metallic black accents.
A number of prominent changes were made to improve the use of space. The original entry, a left-handed door swinging into the bathroom, was replaced. It interfered with the vanity clear floor space. It also made the use of the bathroom difficult when two users were present. It was changed to a soft closing pocket door. To avoid losing space it was installed by creating a wall cavity on the outside of the bathroom. This door also included frosted glass panels to allow natural light into the space. Double sliding glass shower doors were also installed to address access issues to the shower valve.
Storage improvements included the installation of dual inset medicine cabinets, and pull out drawers within the wall hung vanity. The depth of the medicine cabinets were extended outwards, and this nice detail was finished with a textured wood finish. The addition of the wall hung vanity also created the feeling of more space beneath the units and allowed for under cabinet lighting.
Lighting and automation improvements included the addition of HUE LED lighting. This was done by installing two shower pot lights, a 6” main potlight, and under cabinet lighting. These are all controlled by the Philips Hue App that programs routines, scenes, and other settings.
Some of the other highlights of this modern bathroom include dark grout, which contrasts nicely with the elongated white tile, a thermostatic shower system, herringbone textured porcelain floor tile, and a Schluter Kerdi waterproofing shower system. This bathroom is made most unique though with the choice of wallpaper, which can be described as modern luxury, a graphic take on agate stone patterns with metallic embellishments.

Kim Duffin for Sublime Luxury Kitchens & Bathrooms
This sky home with stunning views over Brisbane's CBD, the river and Kangaroo Point Cliffs captures the maturity now
found in inner city living in Brisbane. Originally from Melbourne and with his experience gain from extensive business
travel abroad, the owner of the apartment decided to transform his home to match the cosmopolitan lifestyle he has
enjoyed whilst living in these locations.
The original layout of the kitchen was typical for apartments built over 20 years ago. The space was restricted by a
collection of small rooms, two dining areas plus kitchen that did not take advantage of the views or the need for a strong
connection between living areas and the outdoors.
The new design has managed to still give definition to activities performed in the kitchen, dining and living but through
minimal detail the kitchen does not dominate the space which can often happen in an open plan.
A typical galley kitchen design was selected as it best catered for how the space relates to the rest of the apartment and
adjoining living space. An effortless workflow is created from the start point of the pantry, housing food stores as well as
small appliances, and refrigerator. These are within easy reach of the preparation zones and cooking on the island. Then
delivery to the dining area is seamless.
There are a number of key features used in the design to create the feeling of spaces whilst maximising functionality. The
mirrored kickboards reflect light (aided by the use of LED strip lighting to the underside of the cabinets) creating the illusion
that the cabinets are floating thus reducing the footprint in the design.
The simple design philosophy is continued with the use of Laminam, 3mm porcelain sheets to the vertical and horizontal
surfaces. This material is then mitred on the edges of all drawers and doors extenuate the seamless, minimalist, cube look.
A cantilevered bespoke silky oak timber benchtop placed on the island creates a small breakfast/coffee area whilst
increasing bench space and creating the illusion of more space. The stain and other features of this unique piece of timber
compliments the tones found in the porcelain skin of the kitchen.
The half wall built behind the sinks hides the entry point of the services into the apartment. This has been clad in a
complimentary laminate for the timber benchtop . Mirror splashbacks help reflect more light into the space. The cabinets
above the cleaning zone also appear floating due to the mirrored surface behind and the placement of LED strip lighting
used to highlight the perimeter.
A fully imported FALMAC Stainless Rangehood and flyer over compliments the plasterboard bulkhead that houses the air
conditioning whilst providing task lighting to the island.
Lighting has been used throughout the space to highlight and frame the design elements whist creating illumination for all
tasks completed in the kitchen.
Achieving "fluid motion" has been a major influence in the choice of hardware used in the design. Blum servo drive
electronic drawer opening systems have been used to counter act any issues that may be encounter by the added weight
of the porcelain used on the drawer fronts. These are then married with Blum Intivo soft close drawer systems.
The devil is in the detail with a design and space that is so low profile yet complicated in it's simplicity.
