This formal living room is located in East Avenue mansion in a Preservation District. It has beautiful architectural details and I choose to leave the chandelier in place. I wanted to use elegant and contemporary furniture and showcase our local contemporary artists including furniture from Wendell Castle. The wing chair in the background was in the house and I choose to have a slip cover made for it and juxtapose it next to a very contemporary Wendell Castle side table that has an amazing crackle finish

The Commandants House in Charlestown Navy Yard. I was asked to design the kitchen for this historic house in Boston. My inspiration was a family style kitchen that was youthful and had a nod to it's historic past. The combination of wormy cherry wood custom cabinets, and painted white inset cabinets works well with the existing black and white floor. The island was a one of kind that I designed to be functional with a wooden butcher block and compost spot for prep, the other half a durable honed black granite. This island really works in this busy city kitchen.

Jushing is a unique new type of decorating service coined by Cricket Burns of Cricketscrush.com. Cricket styles homes using her vase talents she learned as a magazine fashion and style editor for over 25 years.
For this project, Cricket was introduced to Steve through his real estate agent. He had recently move into a large NYC apartment. However, he needed someone to design and style the apartment. The movers had moved in but the apartment had not been put together. The place needed a total make-over.
Steve hired Cricket to jushe up his place while he was traveling over-seas on business. Steve had recently gone through a divorce. He had a bunch of kids.
Thus, the design challenge in this job was actually creating a family home for a man who is now a bachelor. Steve needed an apartment that could work for his own entertaining, while also having a vibe his younger kids would enjoy.
Cricket’s Jushing design service prove to be very effective for Steve’s needs. His life was in a bit of transformation. This project was going need room to grow. Steve didn’t really know exactly what he wanted but had a good idea of what he didn’t want.
The Jushing process allows for projects that grow organically. Cricket designs her looks based on the initial client consultation. In Jushing, Cricket is using inventory from her consignment warehouse. All of the items used are essentially on loan until the client has had time to live in the new space to see if the decor meets their aesthetic and functional needs.
With this project, Steve decided on a bunch of tweaks in order to get the look of his new apartment to place he and his children felt they were in their "home”. Thus, Cricket’s vast warehouse of inventory really allowed for her to remove his dislikes with inventory he liked within the same day. The speed at which Cricket completed the job was an added valued to her overall design services.

Preparing a house for the market is the main concern of every prospective home-seller. This allows future owners to envision for themselves how they will make that home their own comfortable and hospitable dwelling. Likewise, this increases you potential for making as much profit as you can from you long-term investment. Reaping that profit finally can only be achieved through certain necessary steps to be followed, which are:
• Declutter your house
The physical appearance comes first, of course. Clearing up the house, especially the cellar and the garage will open up space that potential owners may want to see but could not otherwise if you do not declutter.
• Remove as many personal items as much as possible
Hide personal, especially family photos, in order to make it easy for the prospective buyer feel that they are already living in your home. This will not only distract them or you from unnecessary conversation about you and your family; it will also make you tour of your home more business-like and unobstrusive.
• Keep interior paint colors and décor a neutral tone
Nothing can be more distracting and even off-putting than loud interior colors, garish curtains and rods and paint-splashing abstract paintings on your walls. They tend to, again, distract and take away from the essential value of your home, particularly the use of space, ventilation, natural lighting and other advantages which you would want ot emphasize over the less important matters.
• Stage your home and rearrange furniture
Having lived in and used your home for so long, you may not value this advice until you realize that selling a home is not about you and your home but about the buyer and his/her future home. Doing away with large furniture will open up space where future owners may be free to visualize their own dreams for the house. In short, you set your home up in such a way that you no longer own or use it but the prospective buyer.
Maximizing the potential of your house’s resale value requires these essential steps and some others which Haney Garcia Realty Group can recommend to you during a consultation meeting.

With most home insurance, the interest rates are fixed and one has the option of paying back the loan earlier than the dates stated. Getting the loans will need one to at least 21 years. Being employed and having a good credit history is essential as well. The loan is usually repaid every month and extra costs include those charged upon delaying payment, insurance and processing fees.
Depending on the lender one can have their loan approved the same day they apply for it. Home insurance come in handy when you need to pay for medical, business and education services. These funds can also be used to repay other loans or even pay for a vacation.
There are different types of home insurance in Singapore to choose from some of which include the following.
1. Cash advance
This is a loan taken with the use of the next salary as security. This loan is not usually of a high amount and is mostly used for emergencies. Some of the disadvantages of taking it include the many extra charges and the high interest rates. There are numerous payday loan lenders in Singapore thus the opportunity to look for a cash advance with an attractive interest rate. Qualifying for the loan is easy and getting it is also fast.
2. Adjustable loans
Depending on the market, the interest rates of adjustable loans will either go up or down when one has already taken the loan. There is however a limit for the interest rates one can be charged. In most cases, the adjustable loans are given by mortgage loan lenders.
3. Unsecured loans
They are mostly provided by financial institutions such as banks. All one needs to get the loan is their signature. This is for example getting a credit card. Because there are higher chances of not being repaid or not being repaid on time the interest rate is usually high.
4. Secured home insurance
The interest rates of secured home insurance are lower compared to the unsecured loans. One will need collateral to secure this loan. Home equity is an example with some of its advantages being low payments being made monthly and the payment terms being longer.
A reputable lender is crucial. Get the loan only from a money lender that has been licensed. To get the best type of home insurance, one is advised to always look at the rates as well as the terms before agreeing to take up the loan.

The 10-year fixed rate Fannie Mae loans each include a 30-year amortization. The townhouse-style properties that were refinanced include Turnbury Park in Canton Township, MI; Brownstones in Novi, MI; and Briarcliff Village in Commerce Township, MI. The Class A properties include a range of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units and include amenities such as fitness centers and swimming pools. Celebrating its 45th year, Singh Development is a family business based out of Michigan and North Carolina. They build, own, and manage a large portfolio of Class A Multifamily, Office, and Waltonwood Senior Living Communities.
“We have been working with CNG for over 15 years using a variety of financing vehicles. This Fannie Mae package exceeded our expectations, especially the fact that it closed in less than 60 days from engagement,” said Mony Grewal, Vice President of Finance, Singh Development.
“This was an ideal time to explore refinancing, capitalize on low rates and optimize the equity in the properties,” said Mr. Levine. “Singh’s properties are known to be of the highest quality. I’m proud to have worked closely with the firm for over 15 years and look forward to continuing to provide financing solutions to Singh Development for years to come.”
