Renovisions
These Hanover, MA clients came to Renovisions as they wanted a local design-build company to rework and expand their small and outdated 1980’s colonial kitchen.
We collaborated and created an expanded 12’x15’ addition space to accommodate a newly designed kitchen which is now 21’x15’. Before we began with the construction process, proper structural engineering presented a challenge as the property was built on ledge. As expected, we determined that several concrete supports were necessary and needed to be built to support the expanded structure.
Our plan included both creative aesthetic and functional layout modifications to transform this ordinary kitchen into a spacious, well-lit, highly functional, stylish and welcoming space to cook, gather and entertain. The bump-out allowed for more functional cabinetry and a dining table which before was placed in a corner of the previous cramped kitchen. Now, there is a wide open space from the adjacent living room and a clear path to a 5’ French door opening to the pool deck. The homeowners also elected for us to extend a new roof over their existing deck creating a nice shaded space to entertain guests.
The island, which serves as the central gathering spot. is eye catching with contrasting dark cocoa colored cabinets and stunning natural looking Cambria quartz countertops. Large, easily accessible deep drawers provide much needed storage for pots, pans and lids as well as expansive countertop space for everyday prep and family get-togethers.
Overall, the clients were thrilled with their Renovision and cannot wait to throw a party to show off their stunning kitchen.
“There is not a single choice we aren’t happy with; it is so us! I love all of the storage and I have a feeling we are going to do a lot of entertaining this summer.”
“Dear Cathy and Ed, We are abundantly grateful for the entire Renovisions Team that have provided us with a beautiful kitchen and porch to enjoy. We will continue to make family memories for many years to come with this new addition. From the first time we met with you at the showroom, we were confident that high quality workmanship would go into our new construction. Mike, Brad, and Tom were very trustworthy and worked very hard every day they were on the job site. They were very flexible and always put the homeowners safety first. They even offered a bit of comic relief! Every night the site was cleaned meticulously, never leaving tools or sharp edges of any sort in the open space. We were also very pleased with the help offered when designing and choosing cabinets, tile and other finishes. Liz was always very helpful and patient to answer questions when we came by the showroom. We are extremely pleased with all the choices and on a daily basis we enjoy the warmth and amazing space it provides.
We recently hosted a retirement party for 70 people and it never felt crowed! We relax under the covered porch in the morning for coffee, the afternoon for lunch and to watch the grandkids in the pool. And of course in the evening while we read or catch up on emails. It is an amazing space! Thank you all again, for your hard work and passion for your craftsmanship. We will be in touch soon to set up a date for you all to drop by to see the finishing touches and to enjoy refreshments.”

The first idea or guideline given by the owners during the design process was to incorporate the view of the lagoon next to which the lot is located as an element of the house. This was achieved by placing the pool transversally to the house, thus becoming a virtual connection between the volume built and the lagoon. The eye is taken in by the trick and both water bodies can be seen merging as one.
The vast area to the front of the house allows us to appreciate it as we go along the step path that leads to the porch/gallery, where a pond with peaks of emerging water and a stone bed set the tone and are a preview of what we are about to see.
The opening of the major pivot wooden door is almost a formality, since the glass panels allow us to see the interior and the back garden from the total transparency of the partitions. The staircase that leads to the upper floor, with very subtle lines, is an ornament highlighted by the inner yard, which adds value to the base of its perimeter.
The functional layout is clear: on the ground floor, the main social rooms are aligned on the access door axis. These include the entrance, hall, toilet, living room, dining room, main gallery, pool, deck and a glass bridge connecting them. On the upper floor, this alignment is repeated on the same axis, including the home theater room with acoustic treatment, which may also be accessed from the glass bridge. This item adds light to the access hall and to the distribution hall.
On the ground floor, on the axis corresponding to the entrance through the garage, there are the family and service rooms: kitchen with informal dining room, gallery with barbecue, service area, bedroom, bathroom and laundry, tool shed and pantry, guest room and bathroom with relax space and sauna.
The upper floor hosts the semi-suite bedrooms: two for the children, with balcony/terrace to the front façade, and the master suite, with double bathroom and walk-in closet, large Jacuzzi and terrace to the rear façade. Both bedroom sectors, including the study, which has views of the lagoon from the side of the house, are connected by a central family room.
Domotics or home automation is applied to interior and exterior lighting and pool lighting, security, cooling and heating systems, water fountains and movement of double-height curtains, which allows for a quick and easy control of all sectors, as well as for the opening of the main door, via cell phone and fingerprints. All the control is made through an LCD screen located at the access and a remote control.

Custom Storage Solutions
In this four car garage we did two areas of storage cabinets. The family of 11 people was in desperate need of some garage storage. The first area we installed three tall cabinets with plenty of shelf storage. Each one of our shelves hold up to 100 lbs! The second space had a workbench for the home and car projects. Lots of space for all of the tools in the drawers bases. Finished cabinets are silver with aluminum handles.

Amy Troute Inspired Interior Design
Amy Troute Inspired Interior Design partnered with the Woodhill Homes and Sunriver build teams in 2022 to curate two interior finish packages and the exterior palette for Forestbrook, a stunning master planned vacation rental neighborhood within Central Oregon’s Caldera Springs community. The property, nestled among towering Ponderosa pines, will eventually welcome over 70 customized vacation homes. Our High Desert Retreat is our first fully furnished Forestbrook home - a getaway for our clients and their family and a year-round vacation rental. The owners call Arizona home, and that warm desert palette inspired the aesthetic of their new retreat. Area rugs with rich earth tones ground each space and provide color and texture for bedding, artwork and upholstery. The great room windows are the signature of each Forestbrook home, and our furnishings pull the greens and rusts from the landscape, drawing you in. The kitchen’s warm woods and classic surfaces welcome the family chef, and inside those cabinets is every utensil, plate, pot, pan, and tool they’ll ever need. The primary and main guest bedrooms are outfitted with luxurious layers of bedding that are easy to clean and turn over between stays. The upstairs bonus space welcomes kids of all ages with four adult-friendly bunk beds and a queen sofa bed. Chess anyone? Forestbrook homes each offer an efficient, yet fully outfitted ADU that can be rented separately or with the rest of the home. With a king bed, desk, comfortable sofa, well equipped kitchenette, and dining space, guests will feel right at home! We look forward to furnishing many of these Forestbrook homes, each inspired by the owners and the beauty of the natural scenery out every window!

Here is what this customer had to say
"I LOVE your product! I enjoyed the personalization of being able to design the tiles I specifically wanted with your online tools. I appreciated the option you have to purchase a small sample of the tiles you design prior to purchasing an entire box of something you have only seen online. In fact, once my first sample was received I wanted to change it up a little- of which I did and the final product was amazing. I used it to tile my fireplace and it is beautiful and unique as no one else has the exact tiles and I am nothing but satisfied with the results. Thank you, not only for a great product, but the personalization tools you offer to really make it 'your own'. If I ever have a tile project again I will revisit your site." - Stacey K.

antonia schofield garden design
spacious family garden in need of a makeover -although lots of space the garden is hard to use because of the steep level change. A structure of tiered raised beds was put in to make the level change accessible and less steep.
The addition of an outdoor food prep area and storage cupboard make outdoor cooking easy and fun for all.
A spacious stone terrace was created with plenty of room for family dining and large gatherings. The planting in the raised beds and levels is a mix of hot coloured perennials and evergreen hardy structural plants to give all year round interest.
My Beautiful Abode
The entry and living spaces for this home needed to be rethought so they functioned in a better way. Custom storage was made to have a tidy space for shoes, the home office and yoga spaces were relocated to rooms better suited for the tasks and the rooms to feel more welcoming and usable.

Fin Wood Ltd
This classic terraced town house located in Fulham’s exclusive Lion estate was fully refurbished a few years ago by the current owners. But the customers were never happy with the colour of the oak chevron parquet fitted by their builder in the large living room, entrance hallway and downstairs toilet. We were contracted to expertly refinish the floor to a lighter colour much closer to the customer’s preference.
Unexpectedly dark finish
The parquet seemed to be fitted to a reasonable standard but the finish did not meet the customers expectations. They retold how shocked they were when they returned from holiday to find a much deeper, darker colour that was too dark to see the grain pattern. Despite high ceilings and a large feature window the floor absorbed all the light in the north facing reception room. We were contracted to refinish the floor to a lighter colour much closer to the customer’s preference. After a closer inspection of the floor we found it had been aggressively sanded and we were concerned not too much wood was left for another round of sanding.
Sanding and refinishing
We chose our tools carefully with the limited thickness of the floor in mind. We used the Laegler Trio Sander set on a fine sanding level. The Trio has flexible sanding plates which we used to sand the low points of the floor without removing too much thickness. We were happy to be able to use our tools and expertise to achieve a smooth, scratch free surface. After we successfully sanded the floor we created live samples straight onto the freshly sanded floor to give the customer the best view of the colour options. We selected a strategic spot for the samples with an even amount of light. The family discussed the options, made a decision and we proceeded to apply the colour.
Taking care of special items of furniture
The customers helpfully cleared away smaller delicate pieces of furniture and we carefully moved larger pieces into the next door dining room. We were mindful of protecting quality furniture and bespoke sliding doors.
The customers were very happy with their newly refinished floors.
The Interior Collection
I was hired to design this 20,000 square foot home for a family of 6. The goal was to make the home functional for the family and yet perfect for entertaining. Traditional was the style with some formality. We used architectural details in cabinetry, ceiling details, and trim out throughout the house to accommodate the 12' tall ceiling on the main floor. The colors scheme also agreed with tradition. Using the tool of visualization, we pulled together furnishings, and accessories and drapery that completed the overall magnificence of the house.
