URBAN METAL
Upper Level Custom Sized Balcony Screen.
At over two meters wide and 3meters high, this screen is extremely large in proportions. You wont get a 'standard' screen in this size. After considering numerous options, the clients opted for a custom panel to fill the space. We then framed this panel with our extrusion frame which allows the panel to sit mid frame, which means that the panel is identical from both sides of view.

Ledden Palimeno Landscape Co.
This outdoor living room extends the living space of this early 1900s residence in the most unique way. As you leave the house and walk through the lush garden, the fireplace becomes the focal point, with bluestone steps inviting you into the sunken living room. The grade is held back with a brick and bluestone capped seat wall that wraps around all sides of the outdoor room, and ties into the fireplace. The end columns and high back wall provide privacy and screen unwanted views outside of the property. Further screening is provided by lush hedges and bamboo. The sound of crushed gravel beneath your feet is accompanied by the crackling fire and bubbling vase (water feature).

A board fence screens off a busy street and creates a backdrop for some garden seating from which to admire the rest of the yard. The metal sun sculpture and tall perennials break up the starkness of the fence.

Dyna Builders
Clean and simple define this 1200 square foot Portage Bay floating home. After living on the water for 10 years, the owner was familiar with the area’s history and concerned with environmental issues. With that in mind, she worked with Architect Ryan Mankoski of Ninebark Studios and Dyna to create a functional dwelling that honored its surroundings. The original 19th century log float was maintained as the foundation for the new home and some of the historic logs were salvaged and custom milled to create the distinctive interior wood paneling. The atrium space celebrates light and water with open and connected kitchen, living and dining areas. The bedroom, office and bathroom have a more intimate feel, like a waterside retreat. The rooftop and water-level decks extend and maximize the main living space. The materials for the home’s exterior include a mixture of structural steel and glass, and salvaged cedar blended with Cor ten steel panels. Locally milled reclaimed untreated cedar creates an environmentally sound rain and privacy screen.
