This intricate wrought iron screen was custom built to create a division between the formal dining room and living room, while still allowing light to flow through the spaces.
Roomscapes Cabinetry and Design Center
Designed by Cameron Snyder, CKD and Julie Lyons.
Removing the former wall between the kitchen and dining room to create an open floor plan meant the former powder room tucked in a corner needed to be relocated.
Cameron designed a 7' by 6' space framed with curved wall in the middle of the new space to locate the new powder room and it became an instant focal point perfectly located for guests and easily accessible from the kitchen, living and dining room areas.
Both the pedestal lavatory and one piece sanagloss toilet are from TOTO Guinevere collection. Faucet is from the Newport Brass-Bevelle series in Polished Nickel with lever handles.

Axis Mundi
"Revival” implies a retread of an old idea—not our interests at Axis Mundi. So when renovating an 1840s Greek Revival brownstone, subversion was on our minds. The landmarked exterior remains unchanged, as does the residence’s unalterable 19-foot width. Inside, however, a pristine white space forms a backdrop for art by Warhol, Basquiat and Haring, as well as intriguing furnishings drawn from the continuum of modern design—pieces by Dalí and Gaudí, Patrick Naggar and Poltrona Frau, Armani and Versace. The architectural envelope references iconic 20th-century figures and genres: Jean Prouvé-like shutters in the kitchen, an industrial-chic bronze staircase and a ground-floor screen employing cast glass salvaged from Gio Ponti’s 1950s design for Alitalia’s Fifth Avenue showroom (paired with mercury mirror and set within a bronze grid). Unable to resist a bit of our usual wit, Greek allusions appear in a dining room fireplace that reimagines classicism in a contemporary fashion and lampshades that slyly recall the drapery of Greek sculpture.

This room used to be one of the teenage girl's room, but they have decided to use this room as their TV and entertainment room. The room is small, the previous bedroom furnitures and the turquoise paint from ceiling to wall and the thick carpet gave the room a very stuffy feeling eventhough it had a very high ceiling. Both the teenagers definitely wanted white walls, space, comfort and a modern feel where they can invite friends and use it as well as a guest room. I opted for white all over, engineered white wood floor (warm to the feel, free from acariens and easy to maintain and clean), suggested the layout and the type of affordable furnitures and rugs from CB2 (they had fun and chose the furnitures and colors themselves - they made a great choice), (they loved the idea of the chalkboard wall in my home) chalkboard paint for fun which I aligned along the window, made better directional lights from the ceiling (led lights), simple suspension from CB2 to provide ambiance lighting at night and white lacquered TV/bookcase furniture from Ikea.

Cascade Coil Drapery
Here is a project from Bushman Dreyfus Architects PC that shows Cascade Coil Drapery being used as an interior room divider. In this stunning custom home our woven wire mesh provides a unique barrier that separates the spaces and preserves the beautiful views surrounding the home. The retractable panel is installed on a custom recessed track for a clean look that works in harmony with the rest of the home. In addition, our 100% recyclable room divider met the requirements of the homeowner that the home be made of sustainable materials.
