This kitchen remodel has been 27 years in the making and was ready for an all-around update. During our first few meetings, our client had envisioned what drawers would house which items and really wanted the kitchen to accommodate more people whether for a simple meal or for multiple cooks during a celebratory gathering. The original kitchen did not have enough storage and the island did not allow for much seating space. Our client dreamed of a kitchen where she could cook and entertain her family and friends at the same time.
An existing wall enclosing the kitchen was removed and another wall was extended to room for a wall of cabinetry while also allowing the space for a bigger island. Upon entering the kitchen, a base cabinet with beveled glass doors showcases the beautiful china that our client has collected throughout the years. The new kitchen is packed with appliances that allow our client to make the best usage of them. A 48” American Range Lenged Series rangetop and a 48” stainless steel hood by Windster form the heart of the kitchen. A stainless steel backsplash allows easy maintenance for our client who uses the kitchen so often. The new wall now starts with a desk/office area, a 30” American Range Legacy Series double wall oven, a 36” French door refrigerator, ice maker, wine refrigerator and beverage center. A mixer stand is located in the base cabinet of the island to save countertop space and a drawer bank allows for baking utensils. A prep sink is part of the island with a single trash to make cooking, prepping and cleaning an ease for multiple cooks. A microwave drawer is also available on the island. Easy access and once again keeping the countertop work space open and free. Storage is available at the seating area for seasonal items.
The kitchen finishes were completely switched out as well. The new cabinetry consists of a Cherry species in the Nantucket door style by Crystal Cabinets. Cabinets were finished in a Cinnamon stain with black glazing in a distressed look with cracking and wearing. The surrounding cabinets have a leathered granite and a marble countertop for the island. The three-part crown was inspired by an armoire that has been with the family for a long period of time. Crystal knobs and cup style pulls provide the finishing touches to this beautiful and functional kitchen. Ever since the kitchen has been completed, our client has spent so much time in the kitchen, cooking at home has overridden the want to go out and eat.

Bespoke Decor
Mr. Eby Philip approached Bespoke Décor a few years ago to create his dream modular kitchen after seeing one of our advertisements. However, it wasn’t an advertisement targeting new customers, but one that wanted to lend a helping hand to previous customers.
Not long after the 2018 Kerala floods, Bespoke Décor and Sleek posted an advertisement in leading newspapers extending a helping hand to those customers whose kitchens were affected by the flood. We ran a scheme offering free replacement of Sleek modular kitchens as a gesture of care.
This piqued Philip’s interest and he reached out to us for just a Sleek modular kitchen quote, impressed by our selfless customer-centric approach. This eventually transformed into a full interior transformation of his home.
Eby liked Bespoke Décor’s hassle-free customer service. All of the client’s requirements were taken into consideration and every aspect of his space was expertly curated. The entire space was made-to-order as per the client’s desires and was a marriage of aesthetics and functionality.
This project involved extensive work done on creating the modular kitchen, creation of a factory-made customised shoe rack to be placed in the foyer, a bespoke crockery shelf, and a made to measure TV unit. The work on this project was not restricted to interiors— it also included civil, electrical, and plumbing work. We set out on the path of helping old clients and ended up creating the house of Mr. Eby Philip’s dreams with our extreme customisation.
This story is a snippet of our customers’ appreciation of our commitment to maintaining a customer-centric approach to everything we do!

This space was an addition off of an existing small living space, which was designed by an architect who created a beautifully dramatic, two-story, living space by angling walls and making the living room area 2 stories high, with an overlook at the top of the spiral staircase to the second floor. The appliances were already set in place, and the homeowners did not want to move the existing plumbing, electrical, or venting, so I had to work within those parameters. They wanted a contemporary, industrial, feel for the kitchen, which I believe is described as Midcentry Modern, was acheived by using slab-style doors and drawers, mixing painted with walnut veneered finishes, along with other custom and unique items. The soapstone was a must-have for the homeowners, providing a source for the painted cabinetry color, which draws out the beautiful veins in the countertop. They needed pantry space, and as much usable storage as possible for the space, which included the angled wall that the refrigerator was on, along with not crowding the walk space between that wall and the necessary column adjacent to it. By building in the refrigerator with panels on either side to conceal the refrigerator "box", I was able to create a storage section which included a 2-drawer base for storage of larger items, with 2 pantries flanking either end, with contrasting walnut floating shelves in between. along with that custom section, in order to provide additional storage, and counter space, I created a free-standing piece, which had to feel like a part of the kitchen, yet also feel like a furniture piece, when viewed from the living room. In order to achieve that look, I used 3" wide columns to frame the piece, which I also repeated as floating shelves in the middle, to house their crockpot, but most importantly, a "home" for their roomba. The island also provided the space for separate pull-out trash and recycling bins, which I did not have space for elsewhere. Collaborating with the homeowners on this project enabled me to design a kitchen that was in a style that I hadn't had the opportunity to design in before, and I now appreciate and love this style myself!

Refresh Renovations - Brighton & Worthing
The property is a Grade II listed building in a conservation area of special architectural and historic interest. The terrace, of which it is a part, is directly associated with the growth of Brighton as a Regency and Victorian seaside resort.
The renovation had to be carried out with this in mind and with discussion with the local historic and planning teams.
As the property was built during the mid 1820’s, we had to take into account the methods of construction used at that time, such as lath and plaster walls and ceilings and ensure the trade team were working to help preserve the existing building and features (like ornate cornicing, ceiling roses, wooden sash windows), whilst still bringing it to modern standards.
Delivery of some bathroom fixtures was delayed due to Covid supply issues. This did impact the final deadline but we were able to prioritise works to ensure there were some finished and working bathrooms in the property so the family could still make use of the property whilst we waited for the final pieces to arrive.
The sheer number of deliveries and items that needed to be stored and kept safe on site was huge (there were 4 bathrooms and a utility room!). As we were working across the entire property we had to be very disciplined with our storage of these items to make sure we kept track of everything and nothing got damaged.
We tailored this particular project to the autistic needs of the client. We worked very closely with the client to ensure everything was right for this space. This client can struggle with balance so it was important we spent time to ensure the old, uneven floors in the top floor bedroom were levelled adequately so nothing would present a falling hazard.

MRF Construction, Inc.
In keeping with the historic nature of the home, white painted custom cabinets with shaker style doors (that echo the paneling in the rest of the house) replaced dated cabinets in the kitchen. An island with seating for five people allows guests to sit and chat with the cook, and the kids to be more involved during busy breakfasts. A custom buffet cabinet was designed to echo traditional free standing cabinets and houses the coffee maker, toaster and breakfast items, which are neatly tucked away behind doors when not in use.
We strived to preserve the unique features of this home, with new items such as period style light fixtures, and trim details that match the rest of the home. The space is complete with historically accurate finishes like marble countertops.

Contemporary German Kitchen in Barns Green, West Sussex
Explore this contemporary Fjord Blue & Satin Grey German Kitchen, complete with a matching utility and TV area.
The Brief
This client sought to transform their kitchen, utility, and dining area with a theme that could be replicated across the three areas of this room. Bold colours were favoured from initial project conversations, and modern conveniences were to be implemented into the design across all three areas.
The project was to also include a small amount of structural work to create access into the utility area, as well as the installation of bi-fold doors towards the garden end of the room.
Design Elements
To achieve the bold aesthetic the client favoured the design utilises a relatively new Fjord Blue finish from German supplier Nobilia. This matt blue finish is contrasted with a glossy Satin Grey option, in a combination that has been deployed across all three areas of this room.
The main kitchen utilises a similar layout to the previous, but with designer Alistair making the most of the space available and tailoring elements to the client’s requirements.
The silky work surfaces are a Corian finish, an additional modern element to the design. The finish is Grey Onyx, and combines well with bold elements of this design, and the vibrant blue glass splashback colour.
Several clever storage and space saving solutions have been incorporated into this design. One is a full-height pull-out pantry placed next to the client’s own American fridge-freezer, and another is the tambour unit which the client liked as a place to store small appliances and breakfast items.
A number of appliances were required as part of this project with high-specification Neff models chosen. One of these is a Flexinduction hob which is installed beneath a built-in Neff extractor, integrated into wall units. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven and combination oven have also been installed, and another high-tech inclusion is a Quooker boiling water tap fitted above a sizeable double stainless steel sink.
Special Inclusions
To give the room the modern feel this client sought, designer Alistair has implemented a number of lighting options to illuminate and enhance the space. Downlights, handrail LED strip lights and plinth lighting have all been installed across the kitchen and matching utility area.
The utility itself utilises the same theme as the kitchen and is equipped with plenty of useful storage space. Another great addition in the utility is a full-height CDA wine cabinet, which has capacity to store more than one-hundred wine bottles.
The entrance to the utility was rethought as part of the project too. A pocket door was chosen to ensure that the utility did not feel too separated from the kitchen and dining areas, and our installation team installed this as part of the installation.
Above the entrance to the utility downlights have been installed which shine upon glass splashback, an inventive piece of work by one of our installers on-site.
Project Highlight
The final area of this vast space is the TV area, which utilises the same Fjord Blue cabinetry, this time with Havana Oak accents.
This area provides extra storage for the clients and is equipped with a built-in TV, positioned in front of their dining area to be used when dining or entertaining.
The End Result
This project is another that shines a light upon the exceptional results that can be achieved using our complete design and installation service. This design incorporated a full kitchen, utility and TV area design, with structural work, furniture installation, electrical work, plumbing and even a small portion of flooring, coordinated by our in-house team and delivered from a single quotation.

The Brief
This client from Cranleigh, Surrey, sought to transform their bedroom space with built-in furniture and numerous storage solutions. In terms of theme, this couple were inspired by a natural wood and gloss display from our Horsham showroom, which they wished to replicate in their bedroom.
A design also needed to include clever solutions to maximise space, but also incorporate decorative areas to store decorative items.
Design Elements
Cabinetry from our Yorkshire based bedroom specialist Daval has been used for this renovation. Designer Alistair has combined Blonde Oak cabinets with Cashmere Gloss door fronts, in a style similar to the display they were inspired by at our Horsham showroom.
Alistair has created a design that maximises storage space, whilst including numerous decorative areas this client requested.
Special Inclusions
Some clever storage solutions help this bedroom space tick. One being pull-down rails, to ensure this client can reach higher clothing rails within tall storage. Another is the SERVO-DRIVE mechanisms, built-into storage above the bed. This is a touch-to-open mechanism that will help this client access storage in a slightly restricted space, with minimal effort.
Project Highlight
To help decorate the bedroom space, this client requested some decorative areas to be included to store cherished and essential items.
Bed-side tables, a book shelf near the headboard, and another storage area help to provide this, and designer Alistair has enhanced these areas with ambient downlights.
The End Result
This project showcases the amazing transformation that fitted bedroom furniture can make to a bedroom space. Designer Alistair has created a great design to fully achieve this client’s requirements, and all the elements of their initial brief.

Phantom Screens UK
Phantom Screens was recently invited to a beautiful home in a rural Lincolnshire village to discuss French door fly screens. The owners were looking for a modern solution to dressing a new set of French doors they were having installed. These doors would lead to their garden and the family was looking for a solution that would not obscure the view or distract from the newly refurbished interior.
This family home had farmland nearby, so it was important to find a way to keep insects out. Neither curtains nor blinds would offer this protection, which is what led this family to discover sleek French door fly screens.
After visiting the property and talking to the owners about their requirements, our experts recommended the Phantom Screens Distinction range. Distinction screens feature a pleated mesh and are ideal for oversized doors and larger openings like these. The key to this installation was that the owners wanted the French door fly screens to work in tandem with their new, custom-designed doors.
The family was looking for a manually operated system that would slide smoothly and evenly when deployed. The Distinction range of Concertina fly screens has just the premium feel they were looking for. It is fitted with a wire tension system to ensure smooth operation, and is compatible with French, sliding, double, and bifold doors up to 4 metres wide. This made them an ideal match for this family’s double-door opening.
Our experts worked with the joiner to design a set of doors with a built-in recess. The French door fly screen frames would be hidden inside this space when not in use to reduce their visual impact on the interior design. The family appreciated Phantom Screens’ ability to provide support and advice tailored to their specific needs, which allowed them to find the most elegant solution for their new-look home.
As parents of young children, the owners of this home wanted a screen without raised rails and steps that could cause young ones to trip and fall. Again, Distinction screens fit the bill here, as they have an unobtrusive, low-profile bottom rail that would lie flush against the oak door frame and would be easy for little ones to clear.
Having gone to great lengths to refurbish the interior of the property, naturally it was important to the owners that their French door fly screens did not detract from the new look. Our experts assured the owners that Distinction concertina fly screens can be finished in any RAL colour to match existing decor. In this case, the residents chose a darker frame colour that would ensure that their Phantom Screens didn’t stand out or clash with their interior design choices.
Much like any busy family, it was important to the homeowners that items they buy for their home continue to function reliably for years to come, without causing them extra stress or forcing them to take time out of their busy schedules. For that reason, the family was relieved to hear that at Phantom Screens, durability and reliability are paramount. Our experts explained that Phantom Screens are manufactured in the UK from high-quality components to ensure years of hassle-free operation – and that we offer a limited lifetime warranty with each purchase.
Our Distinction French door fly screens incorporate a tough mesh, made from a polyester weave with a PVC coating for added durability. The pleats ensure that it is easy to fold away when not in use, which helps to protect your screens from accidental damage.
Phantom Screens also represent a sound investment when it comes to your utility bills. The mesh weave is not only fine enough to stop insects, it also provides up to 55% solar shading. For this family, that meant a reduction in solar heat gain, cooler rooms, and less money spent on keeping the temperature down throughout the summer.
We asked the family about life with their new Phantom French door fly screens, and this was their reply:
“We live in the country and desperately want to keep bugs out, but don’t want to distract from the beautiful new oak doors that are key to the ‘wow factor’ in our kitchen. The Phantom Screens team couldn’t have been more helpful. They worked with our joiner to design a built-in casing for our French doors, which hides the screen when it’s not in use. It’s such a discreet and elegant solution.
Of the many trades and services we used during our renovation, Phantom Screens was by far the most professional. Full of good advice, they worked around our requirements and timelines. Nothing was too much trouble. Plus, the fitting was quick and mess free – a real novelty after six months of builder’s dust!
We wanted to renovate our house to make it stylish and practical for a family with young kids living rurally. These retractable screens cut glare from the sun while keeping flies and other unwanted visitors out – without compromising the design. And our guests always comment on how amazing they are!”

The soothing coastal vibes of this bathroom remodel are sure to take you to a place of calm. What a transformation this project underwent! Not only did we transform this bathroom into a spa-like sanctuary, but we also did it ahead of schedule. That's a rare occurrence in the construction and design industry.
We removed the tub and extended out the wall for the shower, which the homeowners chose to expand. This created a walk-in space, made to look even bigger by its frameless glass and large format, linen-look porcelain tile on the walls. For the shower floor, we selected a blue multicolored penny tile, and for the accent band, an opulent glass mosaic tile in dreamy ocean tones. The accent tile also graces the back of a new wall niche. This shower is now beautiful and functional.
To address the issues of storage, we removed a wall, freeing up space near the toilet, which was much-needed. Now there is a custom-built linen pantry crafted from alder wood stretching to the ceiling, adding to the visual height of the room and making the bathroom just work better.
A new vanity, also made of alder wood, and the linen closet were both stained a rich, warm tone to show off that gorgeous grain. For the walls, we chose a cool blue hue that is soothing and fresh.
The accent tile from the shower was carried behind the vanity's two LED mirrors for a bold visual impact. I love the reflection of the light on the tile! The LED mirrors are pretty high-tech, with a defogger and a dimmer to adjust the light levels.
Topping the vanity is a creamy quartz countertop, two under-mount sinks, and plumbing and cabinetry hardware in brushed nickel finishes. The cabinet knobs have a stunning iridescent shell that's hard to miss.
For the floors, we went with a large-format porcelain tile in dark grey that complements the coloring of the space as well as the look and feel.
As a final touch, floating shelves in the same rich wood-tone create additional space for décor items and storage. I styled the shelves with items to inspire and soothe this dreamy bathroom.
