It's a company you should void for your home improvement project. I had the sidings and windows of my house replaced by 21st Century Building Company in 2013. Not only the project was dragged out for 5 months at that time, but the company is now not honoring its warranty. Due to bad craftsmanship, the trim on one of my windows that Century 21 worked on got rotten last year in as short as 3 years after the completion of the project. The owner of the company, David Creamer, only put a temporary plug on the window trim and stated he would get it re-trimmed when he had someone available. But it has been dragged out for a year since then and he has been ignoring my phone calls and texts not to mention to schedule the work which is overdue even though his contract states any warranty repairs should be done with 2 months from the request. The lack of professionalism and business ethics of this company and its owner is just outrageous!

David Kramer and his crew did a beautiful job replacing our aluminum siding with Hardie pre-finished siding. The crew worked efficiently but never rushed, were considerate of our home and property, and cleaned up as they went. David had wonderful design suggestions including a fir bead board ceiling for our long porch, stained to match our interior cabinets and floors. That, along with redesigned contemporary posts gave our house a whole new vibe. I would recommend 21rst Century Building--and have. We've gotten so many compliments on our house. In fact, someone actually stopped to ask us if it was for sale. (It's not.)

Fifteen years ago my wife and I hired 21st Century Building Company to do some remodeling of our home in Waterford. We had the roofing torn off, new siding installed, all the windows replaced, and had Cultured Stone installed on the front wall and chimney. It came out great. The job went so well, a year later, we hired them again. But this time it was a major project we had in mind to accommodate my 87 year old father coming to live with us. Their Design/Build concept was a two-story, in-law quarters, including one bedroom, a family room, a galley kitchen, a barrier-free bathroom, and a laundry room. An added benefit was that I got myself another two car garage with work bench/tool room/man cave on the lower level of the addition! This was a Design/Build project, so both the design and construction of the job were in-house and presented as a complete package. This was convenient and enabled a smooth transition from concept through build and considered all of our needs in a relatively confined space. Ed maximized the living quarters to make Dad comfortable living with us. The two projects were done well in 2001 and 2002, with professional tradesmen. When we sold the house in 2014, the addition made the home uniquely desirable, with sublease potential, and added substantial value to the sale. I would highly recommend 21st Century Building Company for any remodeling project you may have in mind. RB

"After researching the market and having a few contractors out to our home, we decided to hire 21st Century Building Company for our siding job. We got several prices and, although 21st wasn't the lowest, we went with them because we liked their ideas and got the feeling that they knew exactly what to do for our home. We were right, and they did an excellent job. Although we had a few problems along the way, they addressed each and took care of business. We give them 5-stars and we'd recommend them to anyone interested in hiring a professional company to do a professional job."

We needed a complete exterior renovation and discovered our neighbors, Jeff & Julie, right across the street hired 21st Century Building over 11 years ago to do the same work. It still looks new, so we called them to see what they could do for us. David & his team did a wonderful job on the outside, including a very attractive and brand new style garage door, with windows, we'd never seen before. They dressed out our columns and did a complete exterior renovation, including windows and a roof. Our house went from shabby to extremely classy looking and we can't be more greatful! The guys who did the job were extremely respectful and did a thorough clean up at the end of every day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, just like our neighbor did for us. AND we wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We have our eyes on our kitchen and bathrooms. :-)

We hired 21st Century Building Company in 2007 to renovate two bathrooms and then again in 2012 to build an addition to our house. We were very pleased with both jobs. David Kramer, the owner, worked closely with us to make sure that we were getting what we wanted. On the second job, he consulted with the architect as well. Mr. Kramer is thorough and hires expert subcontractors. If we have another construction job, we will be very inclined to hire the company to do the job.

We hired 21st Century Building Company to do extensive updating of our lakefront home. We replaced a window, two doors, added HardiePlank siding and replace a large elevated deck. We also had the trim, fascia and gutters replaced. From the very beginning, we knew that David was an experienced professional. He understood what we were looking for and offered suggestions that we had not considered. His crew was very experienced, careful and meticulous. We are very happy with the look of our "new" house and have received many compliments from our neighbors. In particular Ed did a fantastic job on the new LockDry deck and Justin did an excellent job on the other work. We would highly recommend 21st Century Building Company.

David Kramer is a professional and he and his crew did an excellent job on our house. We hired David to reside the exterior of our house with James Hardy siding and it looks better now than it did when new. David worked with us to select product, color and design and we could not have been happier with the final outcome. His crew was polite, cleaned up daily and stayed focused on getting the job finished within the estimated time frame. I would not use anything else to cover my house and I would not consider having anyone else but David Kramer and 21st Century to install it.

David and his team did a great job for us. We had them do 3 projects (master bath, office and family room) and all went well. The jobs were managed well, the workmanship was good, and the follow-up was excellent. The design work was top notch. All 3 rooms included a lot of oak installation and it all looks great. We highly recommend them.

I hired 21st Century Building Company to re-model two bathrooms in my home. They did an excellent job and the whole project went smoothly from start to finish. David Kramer has assembled a fantastic team of professionals who know their craft well. From our initial meeting with Dave and his design team to the final walk through, the project was handled with the kind of professionalism and attention to detail I expected. His designer provided good, creative ideas for different designs in each bathroom and was a fountain of information regarding current trends, materials and colors. Very helpful. The crew that did the work were all very professional, highly qualified and very nice people. The project timeline we jointly developed at the beginning of the process, was met, and the project was done on time and on budget. They got things done in a timely fashion and, the thing I liked, was at the end of each day, they cleaned up and you could hardly tell they had been there working at all. I would highly recommend 21st Century Building Company to anyone looking for a contractor to help them with any home improvement or construction. They are experienced, highly skilled and good at what they do, and, as an added bonus, are all really great people to work with. I had a great experience working with them, and would hire them again in a minute for any building work I would need done.

With David Kramer and his crew I got exactly the quality workmanship I was hoping for. David takes advantage of the latest design technology and comes up with a plan that fits your needs. He was always available to answer my phone calls or respond back in a reasonable amount of time. He even recomended a design specialist to take us beyond some of our conservative decor choices. His crew was experienced, courteous, pet friendly and kept the job site clean throughout the remodel. The attention to detail was important to us and 21st century building delivered on their promise.

My name is Wayne MacDonald and I moved to Michigan from Canada in 2010. I am a paraplegic and my wife's house required some renovations to the on-suite bathroom. A lady who bought some furniture from us suggested calling David since her experience was very good with his company. We called him and he arrived at the house to go over what we wanted to do. He was professional and friendly. He made us feel confident that he would work with my special needs and create a safe and beautiful bathroom. He also knew we were on a budget and always worked with us throughout the process. He was always a phone call away and would attend the job site as needed. The work began promptly and his workers on the job and were always on time and worked very efficiently while always keeping in mind we were still living in the house. If they were late or had any other issues that would prevent them from being there we would always receive a phone call. This was a very rare. When it was time to put the bathroom together David had a design consultant that came out with us to put together the look we were after. The bathroom turned out just as we had hoped. I use it with no issues regarding my disability. Shortly after completion there was a problem with the shower drain. All it took was one phone call and there was someone out the next day to access and repair the drain. That boosted my confidence in the integrity of the company. I would highly recommend 21st Century to anyone looking for high quality, professional renovation work. Sincerely Wayne MacDonald
