Executing a renovation for 3Bed/3Bath within a historic co-op located in the heart of Sutton Place during COVID is NOT an easy task! MHM Interiors made it look easy. We are extremely happy with our end result and would recommend Mariem & MHM to anyone!

As a long-time renter and first time owner in Manhattan, I was determined to leave my IKEA furniture and Target artwork behind as I moved to new “adult” apartment. I was lucky to be introduced to Mariem through the interior design section of the Houzz application. I knew right away that we would work well together as her sense of style and workstyle meshed well with my personality. From the onset, Mariem’s excellent communication skills, extreme thoughtfulness and overall impressive experience made such a positive impression on me. Mariem was sincerely a godsend during the entire process. Whether she was visiting showrooms and sending me fabric samples or coordinating with multiple vendors, Mariem made sure that the “moving and furnishing” experience was easy and pleasant for me. We started the process with an extremely thorough client questionnaire; a questionnaire that I know she referred to multiple times during the process based on her design recommendations and thoughtful finds. Mariem is extremely organized, which comes through from her impeccable presentations to her detailed budget as well as in meeting deadlines and handling almost all communications with vendors/building staff, etc. Additionally, Mariem is all about solutions; when issues came up (as it inevitably does), Mariem was quick to raise it to my attention with the appropriate workarounds and fixes. I felt completely taken care of in her hands. Mariem’s attention to detail and responsiveness on multiple modes of communication made her easy (and a pleasure!) to work with. What stands out about Mariem is that she cares about you...you as an individual, your aspirations and goals. No concern was too small and no worry too “OCD”. She was very much a collaborator but also helped push me to see things differently and take certain risks…see picture of the wallpaper in my foyer, which I absolutely LOVE! She is also incredibly educational and patient. Not only am I more aware of various special and aesthetic elements of interior design, but I also know so many different designers and materials and fabric because of Mariem. Lastly, while I am in love with how everything turned out, over the course of the last few months, I can sincerely say that I am fan of Mariem as an individual. Mariem is a kind-hearted person with a sense of humor and a lovely personality. Regardless of what your design needs may be, if you want to work with someone that is not only a good person but extremely knowledgeable with most aspects of design with excellent relationships with vendors and will leave you with a WOW factor, then Mariem is your person. I whole heartedly recommend Mariem and her skills.

I had the unique experience of remotely renovating a 1938 townhouse bathroom using MHM Interiors. We discussed my vision and a design sheet was produced to navigate through the design decisions. I appreciated the "pros and cons" advice during the bathroom purchases selection process. MHM Interiors interfaced directly with the vendors and contractor and, engaged me at appropriate decision points. The work was supervised using FaceTime. Given that the house is old, I was most impressed on how MHM interiors worked through the punch list with such precision. This renovation went smoothly. I now have a beautiful and modernized bathroom that blends in with the unique features of the house.

Given some new life circumstances, I had the opportunity to take on a project that I had been thinking about for years - gut renovating a New York City loft in an old factory building. Over the years I had collected images and textural elements that interested me and that I dreamed of incorporating into this new space. It took me a little time to find the ideal space but eventually I came across a 1350 square foot rectangular space offering the clean canvas I needed. I recognized that although I had a very specific and clear vision of what I wanted, I did not have the knowledge or experience to bring all these ideas together and execute on the vision. I was introduced to Mariem through a mutual friend and after spending one hour together and visiting her renovated loft, I was sure she could help me realize the project. I found that Mariem understood exactly what I wanted and was able to expand on the pictures and ideas I brought to her. She did not simply replicate a photo or image; she elaborated on the space with materials and ideas that enriched my original vision. I felt that she was able to do this because of her knowledge of materials and producers as well as her sense of style and design. Our communication was flawless and we were able to work around busy work and holiday schedules. In addition to design, Mariem managed the overall project and she did an extraordinary job. As with most projects, there are unforeseen issues that arise. Mariem worked to resolve every issue that arose, always advocating for me and defending the original budget. I love my loft

Mariem is a very talented designer. She has the ability to listen to your voice and make it beautiful with her vision and talent. She is very hard working and detail oriented. Mariem provides detailed photos and plans of all furniture and accessories you are considering. She stays with the project through completion and is wonderful at following up. She has an amazing eye and is great at pairing expensive pieces with less expensive pieces. Not only is she a true talent but she is also a wonderful person. It was a pleasure working with her.
