For over 30 years Jack Finn & Company Building Contractors has continued to earn its reputation in Montclair and the surrounding area as the go-to team of builders for new homes, residential renovations and custom alterations. Known locally as a residential renovator and custom home builder, Jack’s construction team of experienced project managers, carpenters and tradesmen brings their expertise to the construction site for a timely completion of every job, with elegant results. Since 2006, the company has also completed a variety of interesting commercial renovation projects, including three LEED Gold commercial buildings in Montclair, Greenworks and Academy Square, and the multi-award winning Hillside Square,formerly the Church of Christ Scientist. After the success of Hillside Square, the Christian Science congregation in Red Bank, NJ initiated a similar renovation project.

I had the pleasure of working with Jack Finn and his highly skilled crew on our Overlook Road project, Upper Montclair, NJ. This reconstruction of half the first floor of a 1920's home was challenging from many viewpoints - hidden structural conditions in need of remedy, the staging and installation of very fine materials, and the need for a high level of fit and finish throughout. Remarkable attention to detail, coupled with excellent project management made the project enjoyable, and it was delivered with a superb outcome. Highly recommended.
