Looking back through my early years, I have always played with crayons and pencils drawing pictures as a expression of ideas. Over the 40 years of designing interiors for a array of interesting lifestyles, I can say our clients at Interior Designs By Ria has experienced their dreams too. We give the clients what they want, what they can afford and a environment they can enjoy and what they have worked for. Graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale gave me the education to fulfill my passion that I bring to my projects. Working with my team of skilled artisans and my staff has given us the opportunity to achieve the many DESIGN Excellence AWARDS from the NJ ASID CHAPER. We were very happy with Ria’s design services. She is flexible, available, resourceful, patient and able to work through difficult situations such as when spouses have different taste. She helped us choose quality furniture and stayed within our budget. I highly recommend her.

I had a wonderful experience working with Ria from Ria Interiors. From the beginning of the project to the final reveal, Ria made the entire design process seamless. Ria and her team are extremely talented. They listened to my needs and came up with many ideas from which I ultimately made my decision. Ria did an outstanding job on my Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, TV Room and Basement Room for my teenage kids. I could not be happier with the level of service I received. Ria has a gifted eye with design and especially color. She listens to your wants and wishes and uses her gift to create the environment you want. My husband and I hired Ria to design the interior of our new house...7 rooms from top to bottom as well as painting the entire house. Right from the start I liked her which was not the reaction i had with other designers i Interviewed. The best way to put it is that Ria got it right from the start. She was able to translate my vague desires into amazing results. She was not afraid to tell me something wouldn't work and told me why thus educating me about what works and what doesn't. During the project I had to have emergency surgery. Ria came to the hospital with books and samples. Who else would do that? Every room is turning out to be just beautiful. The experience with Ria has been what I'd hoped it would be; a whole lot of fun Ria is not only amazingly talented and professional but she is one of the greatest people you will ever meet.

Working with Ria was an absolute pleasure! Not only did I love all of her design ideas, she was incredibly patient with my many questions and my indecisiveness. She worked with all of the contractors, my condo building, and the town to get all of the proper paperwork finished making my renovation process nearly painless. She was also very conscious of my budget and did what she could to keep costs down and quality up. I've been living with the renovations for about a year now and I still love all the choices she made. I would definitely hire her again!

I did an entire house renovation with Ria. Ria worked closely with the architect, the builder, and myself throughout the project's entirety. She designed and provided electrical floor plans, as well as the furniture placement plan and kitchen design. All her work was completed on a timely basis. Ria shopped with me to select all tile work for all bathrooms and kitchen, flooring, lighting and plumbing fixtures, paint colors, window treatments, furniture, and accessories. She was always understanding of my needs and sensitive to my price points. She has excellent relationship with all her vendors, and it was obvious that they respect her greatly. Ria has a warm and friendly personality and I always enjoy spending time with her. She helped make my renovation experience as easy as . I am still working with her today, as I continue to decorate my house till completion!

Ria has worked on two residential projects for me, designing and decorating both. The first was a beachside vacation residence, the second was my primary residence. Both projects were a joy to work with Ria on. Ria brings to the table an incredible sense of space, color and texture. She knew how to maximize the spaces for best function and form, yet making sure nothing was too overdone or cramped. Her ability to pick colors that flow from room to room, and are echoed throughout in tone and intensity is amazing. Her use of fabrics and accessories makes the rooms come alive. I have learned so much from her. Ria listens intently to what I want and then interprets it, finding furniture and such from a vast source of resources and always keeping my budget in mind. She always offers choices, is never pushy, and is incredibly insightful, but never was she condescending. Ria was a great find for me, and I can't wait to be able to work on a project with her again.

I engaged Ria Gulian to design and decorate a beach house I purchased at the Jersey shore in 2010. As this was a summer/weekend home, Ria was tasked with designing/decorating the home from top to bottom, including .... paint colors, redoing floors, furniture selection and placement, light fixtures, wall decor, rugs, constructing built ins, window treatments ... and even designing the outdoor space. The result was so phenomenal that the home was featured in DesignNJ. I could not have envisioned a better outcome than what Ria delivered ... so much so that I have engaged her several more times, including for the construction of a mudroom/laundry room and little kitchen. Ria successfully designed the spaces while navigating and coordinating all involved parties in a respectful and professional manner. Again, both rooms came out beautifully. I highly recommend Ria as a person and her services are top notch.
