About Us

Terry Ellis offers a winning combination of her extensive experience along with her international travels, making her an outstanding source for any kind of interior design. Her easygoing personality makes the process a pleasure, while her enthusiasm is evident in the end results. Terry has been making a name for herself in the field of design for more than 20 years. She earned her design degree from Wayne State University, is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and she is NCIDQ Board Certified from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. The multiple award-winning designer has been featured in a number of publications over the years, including StyleLine magazine, Small Rooms Decorating Magazine, The Detroit News, Detroit Home, Homestyle, Detroit Free Press, The Oakland Press and more. Honored to be invited to be part of the exclusive Featured Designer Program at Michigan Design Center for several years in a row. Her work has been featured in showhouses and other high profile events.

Terry is the consummate professional and very easy to work with. She has help me with 2 homes. She took the time to listen to understand what I like. She helped remodel a kitchen and decorate an old home and has also helped me with most selections for building a new home. We are currently in process of decorating the new home.

I've worked with Terry on both commercial and several residential properties over the past 12+ years . The integrity and ability Terry has to understand her clients needs is outstanding . Prior to working with Terry making my selections on my new home was so overwhelming. My husband and I hired Terry Ellis of Room Service Interior Design to redecorate our home. With in a few weeks she had many selections of fabrics, furniture options, paint colors and floor layouts for us to choose from. It was just the right amount of selections! Not too many and not too few. We made our selections and our home was transformed! Now, 8 years later we still get complaints on how beautiful our home is. Terry is an excellent designer and I always recommend her!

We renovated our family room with new fireplace tile and furniture,installed new tile floor and backsplash in the kitchen, painted the entire interior, redesigned the study entrance and renovated the computer room in our home. I was extremely satisfied with Room Service Interior Design. Terry Ellis is extremely knowledgable and experienced. She was always responsive, respectful, and well-organized. Terry has a fresh eye and exquisite taste. She shares her creative expertise in a very professional manner and is extremely easy to work with. She has a remakable sense of color. Commented: Yellow ottomanI love it, too! I actually had it made for my client by my upholstery shop to get just the right diameter and height. At the base is a row of rhinestones, a little touch of modern glamour!

Commented: Beautiful room! Where was the bed purchased? Linens?The upholstered king sized wing bed is from Hickory White. Quality is wonderful! The bedding was all fabricated by my custom workroom. Fabrics are from Kravet, Robert Allen and Pindler and Pindler.
