I have been acquainted with Susan for several years as co-members of the International Furnishings and Design Association, where she is an active member. I have also attended lectures that she has given to both colleagues and to students that she teaches. She is an amazing presenter, and her knowledge of her subject matter is thorough. I can also attest to her trustworthiness and follow through. I highly recommend her.

Susan Slotkis, designer extraordinaire, came to my family room with ideas and more ideas. After we spoke, she translated my wishes into a wonderful and cost-effective design. From the vibrant color on the walls to carpeting that complimented my sunny room, to the prize - a sleepcouch which she discovered for me and for which I paid $500 - imagine a new, designer fabric couch, once priced at $4500. I am still in awe of that coup. Window treatments, faux-twig and amazingly comfortable chairs, and arrangement of my extensive art collection to give warmth and meaning to our room of choice. She also had wonderful pillows made for existing antique chairs, used other small antiques which I had, found stands and tables to compliment the colors and the feel of this wonderful room. Not to mention the window treatments to keep that sun at bay when need be, but which go to the ceiling to let it in. Thank you, Susan Slotkis. You did a wonderful job

The service provided was to furnish and accessorize an 8 room, 2 1/2 bath retirement home. Most of the furniture was newly purchased and included visits to furniture showrooms and fabric centers. The firm also was able to incorporate artwork and collectibles and a few favorite older furniture pieces in with the new purchases in a very interesting and attractive manner. Consignment shops and antique stores provided fabulous finds that were it not for the interior designer, Ms. Slotkis, we would have overlooked some of the treasures we bought at her suggestion. This included a hand painted art glass chandelier, and an antique copper urn. Among many other ceramic and porcelain accessories. Another area was the placement of our large collection of artwork. With Ms. Slotkis' expertise we reframed some artwork and her recommendations we had the pictures hung to most favorably display them for their artistic presentation and in conjunction with the furnishings and the room layout. The professional always was respectful of our budgetary requirements and often secured items under budget. Her knowledge of venues in both Florida and NY were extremely beneficial and what could not be found in FL was found in NY. There was always open lines of communications and her personal visits to FL were well timed and always project focused. Ms. Slotkis can provide photos.

Susan has an exceptionally sharp eye for form, light and color. She took our bathroom remodel to a level of sophistication and warmth that tied everything together in a beautiful and functional fashion. Susan was very accessible by phone and email and was committed to working with our style and preferences to create an end-product that we loved.
