Care: This pretty bloomer likes excellent soil drainage. Take care not to amend your soil in any way that makes it heavy, and avoid overwatering. When planting, find a place in the garden where it will get full sun. This bush that will not want to be dug in deep; instead, plant it so that its base is slightly higher than the top of the soil. Mulch should not be placed right up against its base. Spent blooms can be deadheaded to maintain a fresh look and encourage new blooming. Keep this bush intact all fall and winter, then prune in spring once new buds appear. Make your cuts above the plumpest buds.
