In our continuing effort to be environmentally conscious and recycle (and also make more awesome projects), our team of talented artists came up with this fun filled idea to reuse wine barrel rings in a unique way.
We work with a lot of interior designers and several of the projects needed something really different and yet modern / industrial while keeping a fun vibe. This "SAFARI" line of lighting is truly one of a kind.

The "Varten" is a pendant light with an industrial flavor. The recycled wine barrel rings are hand bent and welded to create a cylinder design that looks great with the lights on or off. The rings are cut by hand (you should see our forearms!) and carefully welded together to make this little triangle light amazing. Each one is hand made for you so it will be slightly different from the picture. In this world of mass made and big box stores, its refreshing to have an artist make something just for you.

The Craftsman "Pasadena" pendant light transforms its raw materials into a soft, romantic light fixture. Crafted from retired wine barrel rings and staves, you can see the beautiful patina after many years of happy wine-making.
We start by meticulously cutting strips from wine barrels, then attach them to wine barrel rings shaped in a small circle. It projects the light sideways and downwards and puts out fantastic shadows. The barrel's classic natural oak faces inward, with the deep red of the stave exterior—earned during years of wine production—just glows in the light. Incredible.

The "Nacelle" is a chandelier that transforms its raw materials into the interesting, polished and petite pendant that you see here. Hand cut oak barrel staves are reformed to create a smaller version of a wine barrel. If you are a wine fanatic, then this is the pendant for you!
I start with retired barrels from California's premiere wine country and dry them for a year before I carefully take them apart and cut them into strips. Then taking the barrel rings and cutting and bending them by hand (you should see our forearms!) and then carefully assembling the staves in a perfect circle to let the light through and create amazing patterns.
Sealed with 3x coats of UV sealer protects your beautiful art for years to come and highlights the beauty of the barrel and colors after years of making incredible wine. Truly part of California's wine history.

The "Cuspidate" is a delightful little pendant, made entirely out of wine barrel staves and wine barrel rings. Sure to bring the essence of wine into your space, this sturdy pendant is playful and cute and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face every time you look at it!
Starting with retired wine barrel staves that have been dried for a year, we sand and seal them with 3 coats of a clear UV sealer to protect it for a lifetime of use.
Each fixture we make undergoes individual UL Testing and certification to ensure that it will work as intended when you take it out of the box! We use commercial grade sockets and cord, all fully UL Rated.

• The straight suspension stem leads into the base that houses the main design detail. The Craftsman "Pasadena" pendant light transforms its raw materials into a soft, romantic light fixture. Crafted from retired wine barrel rings and staves, you can see the beautiful patina after many years of happy wine-making.
We start by meticulously cutting strips from wine barrels, then attach them to wine barrel rings shaped in a small circle. It projects the light sideways and downwards and puts out fantastic shadows. The barrel's classic natural oak faces inward, with the deep red of the stave exterior—earned during years of wine production—just glows in the light. Incredible.

The "Kifaru" pendant is handcrafted from retired Napa wine barrel rings (Opus 1, Rutherford, etc). You can see the beautiful patina of the rings after many years of happy wine-making. The pendant's primal design calls to mind the play of shadows and light in the grass on the savanna.
