Do not buy with them. Look at MI or Fischer. My concrete ribbon and sidewalk are falling apart, less than a year after moving in. I had 4 concrete companies out to look at it and they all said there is no way it should look like that (I've sealed it twice). They said the pitting, holes, chipping, and spalling were not normal at all. Rockford will not stand behind it even though it was very clearly installed poorly. Very disappointed. Overall quality of the house is poor too. Thrown together quickly with subpar materials. It will cost me $4,000 to resurface the sidewalk and ribbon. I reached out to see if Rockford would at least split it. No response. Thanks, Rockford. I will make it my mission to spread the word of my experience and make sure no one I ever come across in my life builds with you.

Zero customer service. Zero communication. If I had to start the process over again I would most definitely go with another builder. No close date after 11 months. I can honestly say looking at the current status of my house this will take 15-16 months to complete. And that’s being optimistic! If you want to buy a home and totally have no clue of what’s going on and not see any progress ……you have found your builder!

The worst construction company, at the time of signing the contract they are the most pleasant people but then the customer service is terrible. The closing days and the estimated dates are totally false, bad organization, bad people and they do not help the process to improve! currently waiting for a closing date, and it's already been a year since I signed! run from here!

Just sold our Rockford home to find out radon levels were extremely high at 80. Safe levels are at 4. Apparently Rockford doesn’t test for radon. Radon wasn’t addressed at all, not by Rockford nor did our home inspector. I was telling a friend of mine about it and she built a home with another builder around the same time and they told her to test for it and that they would mitigate and pay for anything over 4. She was lucky to have a descent builder. Don’t buy a Rockford. They’ve put our health/lives at risk - radon causes lung cancer. Please have your house tested-especially if you live in Olentangy Falls. Sad and disgusted that we’ve lived in this house for close to 5 years and didn’t know this. We bought an expensive house in a good neighborhood thinking we were at least somewhat safe. Like

We built our Rockford Home 18 years ago and have been very happy here. The quality is excellent, and we plan to live here another 4 years. Thank you for a beautiful home!

Built this home in 2014. It is now 2017 and we are getting ready to put this house up on the market and what we're looking for in a home is not a Rockford home. Customer service after you signed the paperwork is absolutely horrible I have never dealt with such rude and condescending people In my entire life. Overall the quality of the home is so so, average at best. I guess he said make great starter homes for people buying their first home since starting their families.

We have had a terrible time with Rockford. We would often go and check on the progress of the home while it was under construction and would find mistakes, which I know can happen, but they were working off the wrong plan for 3 months and building someone else's house on our lot. Every time we would point out an item that needed corrected, we got attitude from them like it was our fault it was wrong. They were polite and helpful before we signed the paperwork. After we signed and gave our deposit, they gave us an attitude like we should be grateful that they are even bothering to build us a house. Our building manager was great about addressing our questions and problems, but we have received nothing but attitude from everyone else. I am glad the reviewer before me had a good experience, but ours has been very underwhelming. Would not recommend this builder.

When you are out looking for a new home, there are a laundrey list of possible outcomes. The "do's and dont's" of designing and building your own home are daunting while costly and will you really love the end result? Rockford Homes within everystep of the process has promised and delivered exceptional work and providing options within many different budget ranges. My wife and I are expecting our first baby girl this coming Fall, due October 2nd. Wow, the joy of a new addition, this is really now a must win scenerio because until the idea of a new baby, the house took all the cake. So now two giant leaps at the same time yet intentionally progessing toward our goals. The house closes on August 28th and Rochford Homes had provided fantastic service, profesional courtesey, with knowledge and experience for design, custom capabilites, and really enabled our experience to overcome the stress and follow through needed for Home Project and Design completion. I would reccomend Rochford Homes to any home buyer/ custom home builder. Sincerely, Dan
