Lochte Architectural Group

We bought a 1908 craftsman house in mid-town Sacramento, and like so many homes of this age it needed work. The kitchen was tiny, there was a small master bedroom and the bathrooms were out of date. Lochte Architectural Group made it the perfect home. Their design moved the back wall out 8 1/2 feet on both levels. That allowed a modern kitchen, added a full bath on the first floor, turned an upstairs room into a wonderful master bedroom including a walk in closet and another full bath. An inside back stairway was removed to add closets and much needed storage space. Throughout the project Steve was great to work with. He listened and understood our needs and preferences being sure that all details were included in the plans, saw the plans through historical preservation processes as well as all permits, assisted with locating a contractor and worked with him through the construction. His assistance and suggestions from fixtures, lighting, tile, paint and all aspects of the project were helpful and kept us from being overwhelmed. While the addition does look new it flows so well with the original structure. We couldn't be more pleased with the end result, and Steve has our highest recommendation.

Steve Lochte's work transformed our dowdy spec house into something spectacular. without altering the 3,000 sq ft footprint. I can't speak highly enough of his creativity, reliability and sheer determination. We were on time and amazingly close to budget, because Lochte worked so admirably with our excellent general contractors, Floyd Construction. Best of all, Steve supervised the interior design choices, assuring the our complete remodel would have the minimalist-but-warm feel we were after. It sure does!!!!!
