They took a rundown country house and, essentially maintaining the footprint of the original home, turned it into something splendid at reasonable cost. SLH's attention to detail (e.g. custom cabinetry), use of ecologically sensitive materials, and thoughtful consideration of ongoing operating costs (e.g. geothermal heat and A/C) have contributed to a resounding success. The client is ecstatic, and the project has been recognized by numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects and others, as well as publicity in national newspapers and journals. They were consistently helpful providing us with floor plans, details and very knowledgeable, which helped us immensely when making field changes. Their help was crucial to provide the client with the best interior possible. They were always very professional and went out of their way to work on this project. They helped us meet deadlines and stay on budget. The home was (grand total) over 8,000 square feet that included a full finished basement.”
