About Us

Tushita Design offers Residential Design Services, specializing in the design of Interior Spaces, which include kitchens, bathrooms, master suites, studies & libraries, laundry rooms, custom cabinetry, fireplaces, lighting, material specification and finishes. In addition, we design outdoor spaces and offer interior design services, including the specification and purchasing of furniture, rugs, lighting etc. Our projects include both renovation as well as new construction. To insure the integrity of each project Tushita Design is involved from schematic design through construction. We have many years of experience and great relationships with highly skilled local contractors and artisans and are happy to make recommendations. Tushita earned a Bachelor of Industrial Design degree from Pratt Institute and has been working on both Residential and Commercial projects. In addition to designing and managing her own projects, Tushita has been collaborating with Trey Jordan Architecture since 2007. Tushita Design is committed to providing the highest level of service and sensitivity, bringing a unique, creative vision to the individual needs of each client, regardless of the size of the project.

Tushita Design did a fantastic job with my complex design project involving a complete kitchen and two bathroom remodel. For cost reasons I did not want to alter the existing walls of the rooms. And I wanted to order standard size Ikea kitchen and bath cabinets versus purchasing custom cabinets. Tushita designed the specific cabinetry within the rooms and then worked closely with the contractor to execute the plan to perfection. The end result was a stunningly attractive and functional kitchen and baths at less than half the cost of a customized job. I will hire her again and recommend her highly. A year ago I moved into my new home, which felt palatial having come from a 650 ft. studio in downtown Santa Fe. I have never worked with a designer and honestly, I didn't really "get" design. Despite that, I recognized that I needed help to create a welcoming yet minimalistic home. I met Tushita and I really liked her personal style and design aesthetic. She is a great listener and fun to work with; I really appreciated how efficient she was as well as her knowledge of resources. Tushita is someone who will go out of her way to insure the project comes out just right. The whole experience left me with a better understanding and appreciation for design as well as a great living space. Our work is ongoing, as a person changes their space needs to reflect those changes. I highly recommend Tushita!

I have worked with Tushita over the years on a number of projects including my current kitchen and bath remodel. She is a true professional with talent, taste, great communication skills and an efficient work ethic that both gets the job done beautifully and without waste of time, money or materials. I trust her aesthetic and knowledge of suppliers which has helped us create spaces that nod to the traditional bones of an old house but embrace a modern simplicity more reflective of our personalities and lifestyle. Even with the remodel completed, I continue to consult with Tushita on the myriad design decisions that keep surfacing. Her patience and clarity in guiding us through these endless details has been very much appreciated.
