“Mint Hill Cabinet Shop did a fantastic job building all of the cabinets in an extensive renovation that included a new kitchen, laundry, mudroom and family room. We could not be more pleased with their craftsmanship, and guests almost always remark that they love our cabinets. Jerry was a pleasure to work with. It was clear he was dedicated to making sure the final product met our expectations. He walked us through all of our options, and was quick to turn around an estimate based on what we selected. When it was time to pick finishes, he created a number of samples (even adding in his own ideas, one of which we picked!) so we could confidently make a choice. The perimeter kitchen cabinets are painted, with inset shaker-style doors and antique glass at the top. The island is a beautiful stained knotty alder with custom legs. In our family room, Mint Hill built the lower cabinets with geometric cutout MDF screening panels so the cabinet is ventilated for our electronics. Remotes work great while the doors are closed, and the cabinets look beautiful. They built a custom mantle for the living room, and a custom shoe bench and shelf for our mudroom. The laundry room cabinets have a built-in area for our washer and dryer and accommodate a farmhouse sink. They are also painted inset shaker doors, with full antique glass uppers along the sink wall for displaying china and crystal. I can’t say enough good things about Mint Hill Cabinet Shop, and will definitely use them on our next project.”

“We purchased a house in February 2016 that was built in 1996 and needed a lot of work. Our original plan and budget was to gut the kitchen and put in new cabinets and wait to redo the 2 bathrooms. After looking over the cabinets and realizing that all of them had pull out shelves I began to rethink the cabinets. She also gave advise on wall/trim paint colors and made a sample of the floor stain I wanted so I could see what it would look like with the cabinet paint color. Katie was flexible and great to work with on this project. I was comfortable with her and her employees having access to my house to complete their work. Katie set me up with Devon to do my reclaimed wood open shelves over the wet bar. Fine Grit will take care of you from start to finish with your best interest in mind. Katie waited for my floors to get finished before she came back to put on the cabinet doors because she didn't want them to get accidentally damaged. My cabinets are BEAUTIFUL! Katie does a high quality paint job and uses techniques to get the best finish possible. My cabinets are smooth and look brand new. People can't believe that these were the original cabinets. Plus, all the time and mess I saved by not ripping out the cabinets. I was able to get my remodel project done in 8 weeks as opposed to an extra 4 weeks to measure and deliver new cabinets. He also converted a lower cabinet into a pull-out trash and recycling area. he also built lowers underneath a granit overhang in the island. The stain was very specific, as was the style, and Mike made the inserts look seemless as if they were the original design. Following an initial phone conversation, Myers Guthrie visited my home to gain an insight of my project, and after a 15 minute conversation, I was 100 percent certain he fully grasped what I wanted. He promptly created a few preliminary CAD drawings for my review and proposed several changes and enhancements that I hadn't considered. Myers then provided a detailed contract which I approved and he began work on the cabinet immediately.
