Jim Brovelli, attending to both details and the big picture, transformed our 1955-styled kitchen into a bright, airy, stunning space that blends beautifully into our existing environment and transitions organically to our garden. He and Analee listened to our needs and wishes for how we pictured our new kitchen, yet still offered creative solutions, insights, and alternatives that we hadn’t considered. Jim provided helpful milestones that gave us specific, comfortable timeframes of when to purchase—or when to consider—appliances, fixtures, paint colors, and lighting. He offered plenty of resources and practical advice. Jim’s experience with home and kitchen remodels is evident in how smoothly he and his team navigate from demolition to construction to final touches. He really took care of us throughout the whole process, managing the contractors and vendors. Jim and his delightful crew controlled the project timeline and budget very well despite unexpected challenges that came up along the way. He remodeled our kitchen into something that we still can’t believe is our own.

We are SO thrilled with our “new” house. As architects and designers, Jim and Annalee were excellent listeners and helped us come up with a design that embraced what we loved about the “old” house while solving for all our frustrations. They were patient with our fence-sitting and what might have seemed like minor concerns or hesitations. Once construction started, we were pleased with the pace of the project. Jim’s crew and all the subs were a delight to have around. Many people remark on how they “hate” having construction and all those people in their house, but the Brovelli Crew made it easy. They were positive, helpful, considerate and great with our kids. They kept the worksite clean and were amenable to our questions and requests. The quality of the result is incomparable. We hired Brovelli Architecture + Construction to design and build a major renovation and addition to our home. We had never done a major remodel before and Jim really guided us through the process. We loved that they were a design/build firm because it gave me confidence that the transition from architecture to construction would be seamless. Jim Brovelli was highly recommended by friends and neighbors and I wasn't disappointed. We are beyond thrilled with our remodel and just love our newly remodeled home. I had some pretty set ideas of what the design should be but Jim pushed back where appropriate and we got a better design than we imagined. Jim is excellent at understanding how people live and making sure that the design matches how you really live. He helped us maximize our space. He was also very thoughtful and careful that the money we spent on our remodel would increase the value of our home. If we suggested something that he didn't think would give us return on our investment, he said so. The construction team was AWESOME! Not only are they professional and do high quality work, but they are also incredibly nice, easy to be around and were great with our kids. The jobsite was incredibly clean and they went out of their way to make it easy on us. I could have felt uncomfortable asking them to do little things like move furniture around as we navigated different phases of construction, but their attitude is “This is what we do. We want to make it safe and comfortable for you. We know that this can be stressful.” Honestly it was rarely stressful! When we are ready for our next remodel, we will definitely call Jim and team!"

I used both Brovelli architecture and construction and could not be happier with the results. Work was not only completed on time, but also on budget. I had already accounted for an extra 20%, but that money is still in the bank as Brovelli delivered exactly what he promised. The quality of work is outstanding and will be using him again when i decide to redo the kitchen. Don't think twice about hiring Brovelli for either architectural work, construction or both. You will only regret it if you use someone else. FYI.... I have had plenty of bad experiences with other architects and contractors in the past. This experience gave me hope that there is still someone honest out there.

Jim was a pleasure to work with. We had a huge remodel project, involving adding on a second story and working around parts of a 1948 era house. He kept us on track and organized by presenting us with a binder to keep our receipts, invoices, and notes, and was always responsive to our concerns. His crew is stable, steady, and professional. Jim does things the right way, not the quickest way or cheapest way, and his work shows the quality.

We have used Brovelli Architecure + Construction for a number of projects, both big and small, and have been thrilled with the experience and the outcomes. I highly recommend Jim. Jim and his team are very professional and reliable. His work is very high quality and we trust him completely. His work is always great. He is very knowledgeable and offers practical solutions and alternatives to tricky problems. Jim is a consummate professional as well as being very easy to work with. His financial projections were precise and any changes were fully discussed. We had some delays but mostly because the weather was terrible. We were very pleased with the process as well as the final result.
