Pontz Sons design and build a patio with a summer kitchen, a second patio with a fireplace and sitting area, and a beautiful water feature that appears to be a totally natural stream flowing out of our hillside. “Once again New Castle did a great job with a courteous professional team of three men. Aging tree was removed and replaced on the side of my home. “We contacted Pinehurst Landscaping Company about six months ago because we wanted to renovate previous landscaping that had been done after our home was built. Despite hiring a professional landscaping company, the trees and bushes that they planted were either too large or too small for the area. Instead of accentuating our new home, the landscaping interfered with the architecture of the house resulting in diminished curb appeal. You can imagine that it was with some trepidation when looking for another landscaping company. However, we had read prior positive reviews about Pinehurst Landscaping and decided to give them a try. Once we called we were immediately connected to Ted Carter who specializes in residential design. We explained our issues and what we were looking for. We scheduled a time that Ted would come and assess our landscaping. Ted sat down with us after surveying our plantings and pointed out the errors in the trees and other plantings that were chosen. After careful deliberation, Ted came up with a plan that fit our landscaping area. He chose plants and trees based on color, size, texture, and fragrance. Even if we didn’t care for a particular choice he had a backup suggestion. After we finalized our plan, we met him at the nursery where we were able to pick out our trees and shrubs. However, the true test was the end result. Ted and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in the time frame he had cited. We were thrilled with the end result. We received many compliments from our neighbors and guests and recommended Pinehurst without hesitation. The cost was reasonable and the quality of work was superb. “My wife and I contacted Solid Rock Landscaping for a very special project after seeing some of their work at a house around the corner. Rob stopped by after we called him, surveyed the property and found out from us what we were looking to do. He then took all of the information and created a fantastic design for us. After reviewing the design with Rob, we scheduled to work and Rob and his team showed up as discussed and started the work on time. It was a multi-day effort and each day they were out our house it was evident that they took pride in their work. The finished project is amazing. A patio, pond, waterfall/stream and supporting landscaping. We love it and cant wait until spring to be able to sit out there and enjoy the sound of a running stream. Great Job Solid Rock! Thank you!”

He is a pleasure to work with, and always is helpful with great ideas. He has a vast knowledge about all areas of landscape design and installation. Joe did extensive landscaping at my current residence and my previous residence. We also have partnered together for mutual clients - Excel Interior Concepts & Construction & Levendusky Landscape working together on outdoor living projects, or Levendusky doing landscaping around a new addition built by Excel. “Artistry, expertise, and attention to detail are the first words that come to mind. Tim and Garrett created a design that resulted in a spectacular outdoor living space, which far exceeded our expectations and has become an extension of our home. They were very thoughtful, taking into consideration our style and requests. Their extensive knowledge of stonework, plants and especially native plants, as well as our wishes for color, texture, and natural setting created a living space that looks like it has always been there. The whole crew, Tim, Garrett, Mike, and Luke are true artisans as their work was creative, yet meticulous. They took their time, making sure every stone was laid exactly right to achieve the final look they wanted. The plants were also placed with purpose. They were very professional and respectful of our property and were wonderful to have working at our home. Even with rainy days, the project was completed within the expected timeline and came slightly under budget. They communicated throughout the process concerning ideas and cost. I highly recommend them, as it is a privilege to have the result of their artistry!”
