“Jamie and his team recently completed an extensive renovation of my condo. The project included new wood flooring for the entire first floor, four different tile projects, installation of a glass railing system, custom wood wall covering as well as several small projects. The craftsmanship of everyone involved was fantastic. The attention to detail throughout the project was amazing. Jamie is very knowledgable and was a tremendous help to me as my vision of what I wanted evolved. The transformation of my space is phenomenal and I would not hesitate to recommend Jamie.”

“We had all of our windows replaced and a new garage built. Derek replaced all of our windows and wrapped the outside of the windows, they look wonderful. Amber Valley also built a new garage for us, it was a good experience. If we had any questions or concerns it was addressed right away. After each day he followed up with us to see if we had any questions. Great job.”

“Brian's team was stellar start to finish. The demo of our 1950s bathroom was challenging but the crew was positive and diligent and sweated it out :) The rest of the finish crew (and subs) were friendly, prompt, collaborative, thorough and professional throughout. Communication was really good and the end result is transformative. Very pleased with the whole experience, and the ROI is very high. So glad we found Lakanen Consulting.”

“After we lost our home due to fire in Southeast Michigan, we decided to start a new life--and new home--on the west side of the state. Every time we saw a house that appealed to us in Grand Haven, we were told that it had been built (or renovated) by Pushaw Builders. So, we interviewed Bill Pushaw after settling on a house for renovation that had been originally built by Habitat for Humanity. Wife Debbie and I were immediately attracted to Bill's genuine way. Denny Dryer, a local architect created a plan and turned it over to Bill and his people. Jeff Bartz, the main roughing carpenter worked like a red squirrel. And Paul Veach, Pushaw's finish carpenter, who has a fine arts degree, created a front entrance (as just one example) that looks like a piece of furniture. Every tradesman that Pushaw brought to the job--Chris Larson, the electrician; C.J., the tile man, Jose Rangel, the painter; the list goes on and on--was a craftsman in his own right. My wife and I knew that we were going to get a beautiful new house in the end. Little did we realize that we would wind up with a custom craftsman-style home.. If there's a better, more honest, more conscientious builder that Bill Pushaw of Pushaw Builders, we're not aware of him. ---Len Bokuniewicz, Grand Haven, MI”

“The entire project was completed in five weeks and it turned out absolutely beautiful. Ted is an amazing general contractor and employs people who are craftsmen and gentlemen. From the first time I contacted Ted to discuss the possibility of doing our kitchen renovation until the project was complete, he communicated with me regarding every step and kept me informed on exactly what was going to happen on a daily basis. Ted's son, Justin, did most of the finish work and everyone who sees our kitchen is impressed what how beautiful the wainscoting and trim turned out. Justin is a perfectionist, and it shows in every bit of the work that he completes. Justin also let me know who was going to be working in the house and when and he arrived each day when he said that he would or called to let me know if he was going to be late. The electrician, Greg, and the tiler, Kevin, were terrific and went to great lengths to make sure that we were happy with what they did. I believe that the sub contractors that Ted used are a direct reflection of his high expectations and determination to have happy clients and a completed project that everyone can be proud of. I could go on about Ted and his son and our gorgeous new kitchen but will just add one more thing: Ted and Justin are not only fine craftsmen, they are creative individuals as well. Their input into design decisions was invaluable and the kitchen truly was a collaboration of ideas. I should also add that Ted is patient and a great listener (I may have become uptight a time or two) and did everything possible to make the remodeling experience a good one for us. He also treated everyone who worked on our kitchen with kindness and respect. We wouldn't consider contacting anyone other than Ted Perkins to have remodeling projects done in our home.”
