Cut Masters Construction
Bathroom Remodelers in Oregon
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 28, 2013
“Cut masters did an amazing job adding custom details to our otherwise boring old house! They put built in's on either side of our fireplace and trimmed around out flat screen TV. In addition to that they put beautiful crown molding, chair rail and wainscoting on the main floor. It has absolutely transformed our house into a home. Lastly, they put a classic Carrara marble backsplash in the kitchen, a custom mirror surround in the powder room and opened up the wall from the kitchen to the family room! AMAZING!!!”

“Our Master Bath and Jack&Jill Bath remodels are signature Carpentry With Integrity successes! The fine quality work is evident throughout...and the crews/managers were professional, considerate and a major help in navigating the whole process. We were reminded how stressful it is to have your house somewhat turned upside down with all the activity. But when you like the people doing the work and thrilled with the result, it is more than worth the experience. Special shout-out to Frank DeLoncker for his wonderful help with it all...!”

“Paul Knopp was the general contractor on an addition to our house that doubled its size. We feel that Paul put together a very high quality group of workers who built a very high quality structure. Paul worked with us as we made changes to the original plans along the way. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. Six years later we have had no issues with our addition!”
Whelan Builders, LLC

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsDecember 4, 2017
“Whelan has helped us completely redo our house. They redesigned our kitchen, moved our laundry room upstairs, redesigned our master bathroom, redid 2 other bathrooms, replaced half our windows, front door, hard wood floors, deck, and water heater. Throughout all the projects they worked with us on the design and cost upfront and stuck to it. They communicated well during the project and always left the house clean, even in the midst of messy projects. It isn’t fun living through major construction, but they worked with us to make it as easy as they could. All the projects are spectacular and we get so many compliments when we entertain. I would highly recommend working with Whelan Builders!”

“David Slack, owner of Aegis Construction, is by far the most competent, professional contractor we've ever done business with. He completely renovated our basement that had sustained extensive water damage. The entire project was explained in detail after we had discussed our ideas, with David working directly with our insurance company, and giving his invaluable insight on all of our options. Everything was done on time, within budget, and exactly as promised. He is such a perfectionist. We couldn't be more pleased, and would highly recommend him to anyone considering a home improvement project.”
Creekwood Homes

“We had all our windows and siding replaced by Creekwood Homes. Dee and Rick could not have been more patient and helpful in the planning and execution of our remodel. They came over numerous times to go over everything we wanted. They brought samples of siding and trim, and other items to make sure we knew what we were purchasing, and why. Their crew did an outstanding job stripping off old siding, installing new windows as they repaired underlayment and put up new siding. His person who stained the windows on the inside did a great job. They matched the trim to the existing interior door and base trim color quite well. Rick also found a GOOD gutter guy to replace my gutters and a blacktop installer to redo my driveway. Now some may say that I would have saved money if I found my own contractors for the work Creekwood did not do. I disagree! Rick knows all the contractors in Kane County. He knows who is good and reliable. If you do a large project like ours, and one of your ‘self-found’ contractors cancels his scheduled time for his work; the whole job gets messed up. I chose Rick and Dee for this reason. They came at the start and did not leave until they were finished. There was no “We’ll be back in a week or 2 to finish up”. How much is that worth? The price quoted on the estimate was what we paid. NO UPS AND NO EXTRA’S. They dotted their I’s and crossed their T’s on the quote. I cannot recommend Creekwood Homes enough. My dog Gracie was sorry to see them go, she liked the company. Wayne Schauderna Campton Hills, Il”
B&C Enterprises

“We had B&C design a kitchen cabinet make over and it turned out perfect! Tina did a great job asking questions about what we wanted and really did a fantastic job designing our kitchen. The program on her laptop made our kitchen really come to life. Her program added in granite and back splash colors so we saw our kitchen before installation. The solid wood Fieldstone cabinets were over 10% cheaper than particle board KraftMade cabinets at Lowes. I had my contractor install the cabinets but Chad was very thorough measuring our kitchen. His attention to detail was great and I don't doubt if he installed the job would be perfect. While the cabinets look great and were a great price, Tina made all the difference. Her knowledge of Fieldstone line coupled with how to maximize kitchen space really made the project a success. One word on Fieldstone; good things can take a little longer than originally planned. Know that going in will help keep your project on track.”

“After a number of years of feverishly working to pay off our house loan, Maxine and I wrote the final loan check this Spring and decided to reward ourselves with an update remodel of the kitchen, dining and family rooms. Once we had an idea of what we wanted to do structurally and with the decor, we began looking for a contractor. We looked at a few options from big to small companies and wasn’t connecting with anyone. Then, we found Ed and Kathy on an internet search. They were local builders who caught our eye when we were checking out examples of their recent builds and reading positive feedback from other clients. Our initial visit was very encouraging as they listened to all our ideas and offered advice as to what is doable and what is reasonable within one of our objectives of a controlled budget. What resonated with us when we asked who his subcontractors were, he said, “Me.” Except for a very few jobs(installing countertop and repairing a broken window), Ed and Kathy do it all. This was very important to me. It meant the remodel would be in a continuous state of progress from day to day. No waiting days on subcontractors to come and do a single job that holds up the rest of the jobs. I also loved their openness to allowing Maxine and I to present a vision for the end result of this job and allowing us to put together the color scheme, the materials I wanted and the structural changes desired. After a few more visits with Ed and Kathy, we settle in on the basic framework of the job and their fee. The cost of the project breaks down to what you pay Ed and Kathy for their labor and time and the cost of the materials you purchase and they purchase. The time between signing the contract and the start of demolition was enough for material selection and formulating a budget. We wanted to present to Ed and Kathy as concise of a vision and plan for the remodel as we could to avoid costly change orders. Inevitably, as it is with old houses, what one finds after demolition may result in changes in the plan. Ed and Kathy were very good about these hiccups in the plan and always had a suggestion that help us stay on budget or to overcome a design challenge. The remodel from the time of demolition to the final brick in the fireplace was very smooth. It does take time to do any extensive remodel as there is lots big and little jobs to do. However, I would say the time for a complete kitchen, family room and dining room remodel with Ed and Kathy was less than a small 3/4 bath remodel we did with another contractor working with lots of subcontractors. The job site was always cleaned at the end of the day which kept dust to a minimum in the rest of the house. Tools and materials were organized and kept away from harm to us and our pets(they are pet lovers, too!) None of the materials from cabinets to tile were beyond Ed’s abilities to work with. Plumbing, electrical, framing, gas lines, drywall, painting, tile work, and installation of appliances were all done by Ed and Kathy. Coming home every day was always a little bit of excitement to see what progress was made. On my days off, they didn’t mind me hanging out and observing and discussing the progress made and what steps are next. On days when we couldn’t be there, communicating any problems or needs was as simple as a phone call or text. Payment for services and materials was organized into a monthly bill over the duration of the project. Was even able to get a rough breakdown of the materials cost to plug into my budget. By the end of the project, the total cost spent for the remodel matched our projected budget. Plan, plan, plan ahead of the project and don’t go crazy with change orders. So overall, this was a great experience. The workmanship was great, daily progress was always seen, the job site was always clean, we stayed on budget, and most importantly, Ed and Kathy were just nice people to work with. If Maxine and I were to go through this challenging experience of no kitchen for 3 months again, we would want Ed and Kathy to take us through it. Now we have a beautiful, modern and very functional kitchen and family room. We are already getting praise from family and friends. When they ask who did the remodel, I wish I could say it was all us, but of course it was Ed and Kathy at K & B Renovations that gave us this wonderful renovation project. Now, I got figure how to put a budget together to update the rest of the house!”
