We hired Blockhouse to build a large wraparound deck and screened in porch on our home. Andrew and his team did a fantastic job and everything turned out great. We encountered some unexpected issues during construction... but Andrew was quick to explain the issues, recommend solutions, and then implement the agreed fix. We were impressed with the attention to detail, design flexibility, and open communication throughout the project. We felt that the team really took the time to produce a quality product and every task was professionally completed. Andrew made it clear that everything had to be done right, he wasn't interested in flying through the job just to be done sooner. We have already recommended Blockhouse to several of our neighbors and will continue to do so. A big thank you to Andrew and the whole Blockhouse team for doing such a great job.

We hired Blockhouse to serve as the General Contractor for our 4-unit new construction project. This was a critical project for us and included a strategic relationship with Pittsburgh’s Urban Redevelopment Authority in addition to partnerships with fortune 500 companies -- it had to impress. The Blockhouse team clearly laid out costs and expectations during pre-construction to make sure we were on the same page, understood the schedule, and were comfortable with the terms. Andrew is very upfront and honest -- this is what you want when you’re spending the time and money to build something right. Throughout construction, we were in frequent communication to ensure everything was going as planned. When problems came up, the Blockhouse team promptly took care of them to ensure approval from us. Something that stood out to us is their desire to actually raise the bar of the industry and are future facing -- always staying up to date on the latest best practices and technology. We’ll definitely be working with Blockhouse on projects in the future.
