We are so appreciative of the amazing team at SoBo Homes. We’ve now done two renovation projects with SoBo, the most recent of which was an extensive, full-home remodel and addition. From start to finish, we were blown away by their vision, talent, and professionalism - both with the build itself, but also with all of the detailed design, project management, and administrative work that a project of this size demands. Challenges are inevitable with any construction project, but the team was always a few steps ahead of us to find creative solutions to ensure the build was quality. The kicker is that their whole team is so wonderful to work with that we were sad to have the project end…truly, you could not ask for a kinder or more caring group of people. We are thrilled by how our project turned out and are so grateful to SoBo for making it happen!

My hardwood floor company worked with SoBo Homes on one of their client's homes, and it was a great experience. We work with a lot of contractors and the people at SoBo were by far some of the easiest and most professional to work with. If you are remodeling your home, I recommend calling them!

Sobo has innovative designs, listen to clients needs about cost and space, and communicate well throughout the project process. Their build quality is superb, building well, insulated, quiet, and tight buildings. They were on time, on budget, and really pay attention to detail.

We recently worked with SOBO to renovate our 1996 home in Louisville, CO and are so happy with the end result. They completely transformed our typical suburban home into a custom looking house. We had a vaulted entry and living room in the front of the house and they added valuable square footage by building a loft in what was the wasted overhead space. We now use that space as a playroom for our two little girls. They replaced our dated curved oak staircase with a timeless U-shaped staircase and added beautiful windows and rustic modern metal railings. They also refinished our existing hardwood flooring and installed new hardwood flooring throughout the house and it is completely seamless. We can't wait to have them back to remodel our kitchen and master bathroom!

We worked with the SoBo team initially a few years ago on a complete renovation of two bathrooms in our 1950 Boulder ranch home in Martin Acres. At that time, we also developed an initial design plan for a kitchen remodel and converting the living room and kitchen into a great room. In 2016, we completed the full great room remodel, adding new gas appliances, a gas fireplace, LED lighting throughout and new cabinets and a new island bar. Because we had to remove a supporting wall and put in a new beam, it was a 3-month project. They handed us the keys to the house exactly on time. Working with SoBo's designer, we got great ideas for colors, kitchen and fireplace tiling. The project was completely successful, and our remodel has been photographed for a several magazine articles promoting a new design for a mid modern ranch-style home. A great job by a great design/build team!

We are very pleased with our new home, built on time and on budget by Sobo. They patiently worked with us through the design phase and then met with us regularly through the build phase. Their project management throughout was topnotch. Since completion of our house, we have used with them again on a much smaller project, which also was done very well. I have and would continue to recommend them to others.

Our project with SoBo this year exceeded $250,000. It took seven and a half months to complete and ended with our dream home delivered right on time. Here are five reasons why we strongly recommend SoBo Homes for your project (and why we’re so happy with ours): 1. We came to SoBo with a very early set of “plans” from a builder who we chose not to continue working with. The SoBo guys approached these plans with enthusiasm and were happy to build from, and wildly improve upon them with Mike’s help. 2. Our project’s special circumstance to deal with was floodplain issues, and so SoBo became floodplain requirement and building experts. I have no doubt that whatever unique circumstance your project presents, as with our project, they will be able to learn all of the particulars to deliver a dream home that meets code requirements, even if they’re tricky and extensive. 3. SoBo approaches projects with a fixed bid and a thoughtful and reasonable timeline from the outset of the project. That means that, at least in our case, the budget only increased when we chose to exceed allowances, and the timeline only slipped if we added scope. The reliability and transparency of these timelines and allowances is almost unheard of elsewhere. (Shout out to Mason!) 4. The project managers at SoBo are all awesome, but ours (Tony!) feels like family now. We felt he understood and heard our thoughts and concerns as individuals unique to our own project, and by the end he could predict our reactions and made thoughtful decisions based on that. When in doubt he’d ask “If it were my house, what would the right thing to do be?” And he was always right. 5. The attitude of the entire SoBo team AND their subs is a direct reflection of the amazing owners, Mike and Eric. They are equally even keeled, supportive, enthusiastic, creative, intelligent, responsible, and fun. Not everyone can say they’ll miss their construction team when they’re gone and I think it says a lot that we (and other clients of theirs we’ve talked to) will.

The SoBo team rocks! From beginning to end, we had a great experience working with them. They had good communication with us throughout the entire project and created a very collaborative approach to the design. The project managers have sincere attention to detail and the subs they use focus on high quality work. We couldn't be happier with our final product and hope to work with the SoBo team again in the future.
