His knowledge and skill for understanding framing, electrical, finishing, and attention to detail impressed my husband and I. It is rare to find a builder who truly knows how to build quality, well-designed homes. I cannot speak highly enough about our positive experience. I only wish we would have found him sooner, we would have loved for him to have designed and built our entire home. Nelson Builders are different than any other builder because they don't skip on quality and there truly is such close attention to detail. “We used this builder for a new home build and we were very pleased with their work. They built a beautiful home for our family. Their bidding is accurate and if you happen to change/add anything along the way that will change the cost, they let you know what it will be and you sign off on it. They did quality work and they did it quickly and efficiently. They guide the homeowner through the process of choosing features one step at a time so that it's never overwhelming. The contractor manages all the different teams of workers--plumbers, electricians, etc. with professionalism and the homeowner is free to enjoy the building process. If you experience any problems, even after your home is built, they are quick to come and remedy them. Thirteen years later, we are still very happy with our home.”

“I can't say enough nice things about working with Jeff and his wife Kelly on making our dream home a reality. We were very reluctant to build from scratch because we had good friends that went with a larger builder in Champaign that just kept passing them off to different crew foremen throughout the whole process. They actually never met the real owner. I appreciated the fact that we only had to deal with Jeff from beginning to end. He made the building process fun and very rewarding and Kelly was a huge help when it came to picking out fixtures, countertops and paint that brings it all together. “This is the third house we have built and it was by far the smoothest process! Great quality for the money. Everyone was friendly, courteous, punctual. Whenever we had a question, we got a response almost immediately. We have been in the house a couple of months now, and with every new built there will always be some things that have to be tweaked, so far they were fairly minor, but I feel lucky that they have a great 'after-care' program. Over all I would have to say our experience was very positive!”
