“I first met Art Holland on March 15, 2001. I remember because that was the day my cabin at Deep Creek Lake caught fire and burned to the ground. Once we had made the decision to rebuild, calling Art was my first thought. I had admired his building style, using larger diameter logs and his “Yellowstone Log Homes” business was thriving after having built about 100 homes here in the area. We took several months to decide what we wanted and then approached Art. Art’s passion in life is building homes that fulfill his customers’ dreams, and that was apparent to us immediately. I had drawings we had sketched and some ideas about what we wanted, but it was Art who carefully guided us by pointing out alternatives that we hadn’t thought of or different ideas that were cheaper, or easier to accomplish. Some trickier details of the job were artfully built, and the end result was a unique home that we LOVE living in. When we had an unfortunate flood from a frozen pipe just weeks before completion that did $100,000 worth of damage, Art stepped right up to deal with the insurance company and had remediation efforts started immediately. Beyond building a beautiful home for us, Art has helped us maintain the home, and when issues arose, he has always been there for us and provided support more like you’d expect from a friend than a builder. “We are building a new custom home with Jim Thomas. The house is almost complete and so far we have had no complaints. Many builders are hard to reach personally and take a long time to return calls. However, with Jim this is NOT the case. He's very reachable and returns my calls in a timely manner. He gave me his personal cell number and returns my texts and calls personally. He's been very patient with all my concerns and questions. He built 3 other homes on the same street and the work is beautiful (from the outside). Again, we are not finished but hope and believe that we will still be as happy with the finished product. Started project in Sept/Oct of 2015”

“We hired this company to remodel a bathroom and kitchen, finish an attic bedroom, repaired plaster ceilings, repaired floor in primary bathroom and updated some wiring. They did very good work, the job looks great and I will hire them again. The bathroom was gutted to the studs and started over and redone in a modern design, although the fact that the shower was tiled it was a little expensive, but we love it. I personally did not prefer the mirror that was chosen, but it does work. I had designed the kitchen and the execution of the design is excellent. The door needed to be moved to accomodate the refrigerater and the ceiling needed to be repaired in order to install the cabinets correctly. The attic bedroom looks great, but the option of drywalling instead of paneling was not offered but could have worked out better. The paneling was not secured to all the rafters and has some sagging. They are easy to work with and have good work ethics and strive to satisfy the customer.”
