“I hired Justin/Facet14 to completely redesign my junior 1BR apartment in Chelsea, NYC, and the results exceeded my every expectation! I highly recommend Facet14 to anyone looking for design assistance or custom light fixtures. Justin faced some challenges in my apartment-- namely, its size (only 380sf). From day one, Justin approached the project with creative and cost-effective solutions to save/maximize space. He adjusted my apartment layout, replacing my pocket-door with custom, 9-foot sliding doors; he found square-footage by exposing 2 additional brick walls; he found wall-space for a small second closet in my bedroom area; he found me unique pieces of furniture that not only made sense in terms of space, but also reflected my tastes. His gorgeous custom shelving units and custom expandable dining table fit the apartment perfectly, and were no more expensive than what I would have paid for prefabricated pieces from a retail store... The list goes on and on! Justin also designed, built, and installed several custom light fixtures for me at a very reasonable price, including the main fixture in my living room and one in my bedroom. These fixtures are the focal point of my apartment, and would have cost me several thousand dollars each had I purchased them from a lighting specialty store. In terms of his oversight on the project, Justin was the consummate professional. I have a demanding travel schedule due to my job, and Justin accommodated all of our meetings at my convenience--nights, early mornings, weekends, etc. He also personally oversaw every delivery and installation. For instance, when I had my heaters replaced (to save space), he found the plumber, negotiated pricing, coordinated scheduling with my building, and oversaw the entire installation process. Justin was a pleasure to work with, and truly turned my tiny apartment into my dream home!”
