“Karen Hill changed the entire feel of our home, and allowed us to fully utilize our space. We began working with Karen in 2008 when we decided to put in a new kitchen, new flooring and carpeting throughout our home, as well as complete bathroom remodels, and fresh paint and moldings. We were overwhelmed with all the decisions and choices, but Karen made it easy, from making paint color recommendations, to cabinet choices, and carpet and flooring options. She was truly involved in our project every step of the way. Karen has a can-do, positive attitude, and she is enjoyable to work with. Our project went quickly, stayed within budget, and made us fall in love with our home again. We contacted Karen again in 2010 to redecorate our three Bedrooms, Living Room and Family Room. When Karen finished, we felt as though we had stepped into the pages of a magazine! Karen showed us different ways to use our space, and in 2013 created an office area that we enjoy using daily. The improvements Karen suggested raised the value of our home far beyond the cost of the improvements. Karen was easy to work with. She helped us avoid costly mistakes. She listened when we told her how we wanted to use our space and when we described the way we lived. We were happy with every recommendation she made, from colors to contractors, We are delighted to say that our home is now our favorite place to be. “Cheryl began working with us ~ 1.5 years ago. We had done a lot of redecorating in our house previously but it still didn't look quite right to us. She had us walk through alone and then jointly with her to review all the things we didn't love about the house or that needed updating. She really transformed our entire house into a much cozier and tranquil space. She has an exceptional eye for color and space. She gave us ideas on wall colors that would tie rooms together, new carpets/rugs, furniture. I never would have picked out what she did yet it perfectly fit with our style. She provided us with a huge assortment of possible furniture, window treatments, etc... at different prices that we could choose from and specifically where to buy them. Once I narrowed the possibilities, she provided me with all the data in a large folder that was arranged by room. We slowly went through our "Homework" room by room on our owne for the last year and have been thrilled with the results. Cheryl is not inexpensive, but I don't think we could have made our house into the home of our dreams without her. She is flexible on ways to make things more affordable and you can get reduced pricing at various furniture and other stores through her. Just be aware that she put in ~ 50 hrs to recommend the many improvements in our house to give you a sense of what the cost might be.”

She helped me to pick out all of the decorative aspects of a kitchen remodel, from tile backsplash to granite counters to light fixtures, and then she helped me pull it all together with accessories. She also went through each of my main floor rooms and helped me re-decorate using items I already had. Much fun and much success working with her. We knew where the sink and stove would be located, that we would have an island, need lots of storage and wanted a warm classic feel to it. “For years I had attempted to remodel my kitchen on my own. Every time I went to the tile store I would be overwhelmed with all the choices. I just didn't know where to begin. I had seen Janis Reed's work at Solutions Studio and Spa in Greece, NY and at Home Shows and loved her design style. At my first meeting with Janis, she listened to my wish list, poured over my dream kitchen photos from Houzz, and helped me realize that I had to make choices with the budget I had. She helped me prioritize my wants and needs. Using that information, Janis brought me samples of materials that met my vision for my kitchen. Flooring and countertops were selected first.. I am thrilled with both items as they nicely compliment each other. Keeping our original cabinets created a bit of a challenge as several critical items had to be found that would fit into the allotted spaces. For example, finding a double sink to fit the existing cabinet was problematic. Janis thoroughly researched the options and as a result, I have the deep, double-bowl, under mounted sink that I was hoping for. Janis Reed's expertise was indispensable . I had so much confidence in her abilities as she guided me through all the decisions I had to make. She gave me ideas that I never thought of. The best part about working with Janis is that she is so warm and friendly. I looked forward to our meetings and never felt pressured to move faster through this process than I was comfortable with.. Janis was attentive to my concerns. She was always just a phone call or email away. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Janis. As I said to Janis countless times, "I couldn't have done this without you"!”
