Words and pictures don't do Alicja enough justice! We are still a work in progress and Alicja has been very graceful and patient with our budget. Very sophisticated but practical (considering price and comfort) when it comes to designing living spaces for our home. She was able to help us execute our vision with only physically being in our space 1 time!! With photos and Skype, Alicja was able to help us pick out and place the right pieces of furniture. Definitely something a novice designer would not be able to execute well, Alicja knows what questions to ask and what measurements are needed to avoid costly mishaps. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alicja if you want a fabulous living space regardless of where you live, she can make it happen for you. Word of advice though for anyone wanting a well designed living space, you get what you pay for! Don't expect a Ritz Carlton design with a homeless shelter budget!

What a pleasure to work with Alicja on a long distance project; a feat that can be quite challenging. Her vision is amazing and she really knows how to coordinate all aspects of the job. I hired Alicja Truesdale for interior decorating of my home in Union, NJ in July of 2010. Since that time I have recommended her services to a few of my friends. I appreciated her ability to give me suggestions on ideas while maintaining my vision. For instance being a bachelor I wanted a place that didn’t look to "girly" at the same time I didn't want it to be to manly and uninviting. Alicja was able to strike a perfect balance. I painted my bedroom a color I thought would work and when I was finished I hated it and wanted to repaint it. Alicja, sensing my frustration with my choice suggested I allow her to decorate around it. She said she thought my color scheme actually worked and reminded me if I didn’t like her choices we could always return the furniture and the accents she purchased. When Alicja was done I was completely happy with my bedroom and have received so may compliments on it. Even if you have the slightest idea of a vision, she can pull that vision together for you. When you don’t have a vision she can come up with one for you. All of this was done at my budget. My only regret is that I would listened to her when she recommended a contractor. I was insistent on using my own and I unfortunately saw the difference in quality. Alicja pointed out craftsmanship issues that I didn’t notice and my contractor didn’t even notice he should have done better. After that, I followed her suggestions and hired a gentleman she recommended to restore my wood floors and I swear my floors are immaculate!!! If you hire Alicja please use her people and her contractors. She knows what she is doing!

I contacted Alicja Truesdale Home for a design consultation for multiple projects over the past two decades. The initial consultation was for a home remolding project for my kitchen and bathroom. Both of the two spaces were small and my goal was to make the best use of my limited space. Alicja was great! Alicja was very professional. She was always punctual for our appointments and offered great suggestions for my the best way to layout and utilize my limited space. Alicja assisted in the design and layout of the kitchen and a bathroom. She suggested colors, cabinetry, counter tops, and tile for both spaces. Alicja has also assisted me with the design layout for several social functions, (weddings, birthday). Specifically, Alicja assisted with the floral arrangements, room set-up, and the preparation of favors.
