Janice Girard Design

It is my pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for Janice Girard. We interviewed 6 different designers from the Vancouver area, and based upon our interviews, selected Janice to move forward on a project we owned. At the time, our Development company owned an older, single family home in Kitisilano, north of 4th avenue, that we were converting into a duplex to sell. I worked closely with Janice for more than a year in the planning, development and sale of the two units. Her communication skills, relevant design coupled with the realities of our budget, helped to ensure that the units sold quickly, and that the project was a success. Her refined approach to exterior and interior decorating, color selection and lighting, ensured that even one year after their purchase, the new owners remain ecstatic about their new homes. We highly recommend Janice Girard!

Janice provided our company, Safe Harbour Developments, with interior design services for our project, as well as assisting with some exterior design decisions. She has an excellent eye for coordinating colours, fixtures, layout and other design considerations that resulted in an excellent final product that we as a development company are very proud of and that attracted much marketplace interest resulting in a quick sales cycle. Janice also helped us with picking excellent sub-trades for much of the work, and helped with managing these trades through to successful completion. She was involved with the project from beginning in early 2015 to completion in March 2016. Approximate project cost reflects her cost, not the total project cost.

Janice understood my taste immediately and came up with super ideas within our budget. She has an amazing eye and had ideas for room layouts that we would never have considered. I would highly recommend Janice and love how our new place turned out

Top marks! She took the "work" out of our renovation. Even when challenges arose, she was calm and professional, solving each problem, with me being involved only when necessary. She's a great listener and was able to translate our vision in to a fabulous & functional living space. She was very efficient, minimizing as much as was possible, the time it took from start to finish. She also passed great savings on to us, when shopping for materials & furniture.
