John Buscarello recently completed the renovation of my New York City apartment. I could not be more pleased. From our first meeting to our last shopping trip and review of the punch list, he listened. He asked clarifying questions, made observations and suggestions while he worked to understand what I wanted. I think he works "magic" with color and patterns resulting in a coordinated and interesting scheme that suits me perfectly. This project was not a total re-build and he made important suggestions on improvements to existing built-in bookcases and cabinets which resulted in a more polished look. He served as the primary contact with the general contractor; all the while ensuring that I understood the issues and the options. The construction phase was completed on schedule (3 1/2 months). The punch list was short and quickly cleared. There were no surprises regarding the work or the cost. From the outset I told John that I did not want to view countless samples. I wanted him to select 7-10 possibilities and then I would go shopping with him. I think only when we got down to last fabrics for pillows did it take two sets of samples to find the perfect look. When shopping, he made suggestions, described the pros and cons and ensured that I had seen all the pieces that might work. But, he never pushed or even nudged me to a specific selection. In short, I'm a very satisfied client. I love my "new" apartment and am thrilled to write this recommendation.
