About Us

Stephen Honeywell Designs specializes in meticulously crafting interiors and events that are tailored to the individual needs of each client. Working with teams of craftsmen, contractors, and artisans, he is able to give thoughtful consideration to both the architecture and design of each project and produce spaces that are classic and sophisticated. Born in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Stephen Honeywell studied Interior Design at The School of Visual Arts in New York and started his career working for the notable William McInstosh. His work experience then took him to work for the talented Antony Todd where he designed interiors and events, and was a buyer for the firms retail location. Before opening his namesake firm in 2013, his last position was with renowned designer, Joe Nahem, of Fox-Nahem Associates.

Stephen helped us turn a promising but hastily flipped Brooklyn apartment into a beautiful and functional space. He offered creative, practical and affordable solutions to design issues like a tiny kitchen with cabinets so high a ladder was needed to reach everyday items, limited counter surface, and virtually no storage space. He also helped identify versatile furniture pieces that worked well in a very narrow footprint and remain practical now that we've moved to a new home. Stephen is punctual, a great listener, proactive communicator and all-around consummate professional. I have consulted him regarding other design issues since and will continue to do so in the future.

Stephen Honeywell is an outstanding designer whose designs can fit any budget. I have only the most positive things to say about Stephen after he brilliantly designed a very high end spec home I built in Westport. He has vision, he has the flexibility to work with challenging conditions, and he is very skilled at selecting colors, fabrics, solid surfaces, and other materials. And as a post-script, our house sold quickly whereas many professionally designed competing spec houses did not, thanks in part to the superior design from Stephen.
