The Beautiful Bed Company

I originally fell in love with a Beautiful Bed Company bed a few years ago, but was reticent about spending so much money on a piece of furniture. By happenstance, I found a dupe on Overstock that was like 1/10th the cost. Lemme tell you: that bed ended up being a total piece of crap and gave me and my husband so much headache. Cheaply made, ready to fall apart at the drop of a hat...not what you want in a bed. You spend a third of your life on this piece of furniture, so, when my husband finally told me he was going to burn the crap bed, I decided to return to Beautiful Bed for the real deal. Let me tell you that I do not regret it one bit! From start to finish, the process was phenomenal. Great customer service, bed arrived earlier than promised, and quality was BEYOND expectations! Honestly, I will never buy a cheap bed again. My Beautiful Bed is gorgeous as hell and makes me happy every time I walk into the room. Just a game changer. You will not regret the investment.

I ordered a bed from this company and they sent me the wrong footboard. I contacted them repeatedly and they did not send the right footboard. They suggested a find, someone, in my area to make it for me? I don't like my very expensive bed at all. How much would it cost to make a footboard and I was paying for the shipping again? Bad business, bad customer service! Good luck with your company

It is with a churning stomach that I write this review. My transaction with Lisa and The Beautiful Bed Company started out as most transactions do, full of good will and the best intentions. In my case, it all began when I fell in love with a bed I saw in a magazine - unfortunately, the manufacturer of that particular bed had retired. My quest eventually led me to Lisa who said that they could certainly replicate it and replicate they did. My issues began when the bed was shipped to me in Northern Michigan. It had apparently been wrapped for shipment before the stain was dry. When I unwrapped it, there were striations in the wood from the packing material. The finials were scuffed. I called Lisa who was saddened by the news but unprepared to do more than send some replacement stain. Approximately one week later, I received 2 cans of spray stain. Wow. But because I wanted this bed so much I did not send it back immediately, a mistake that I own. The bed, other than these defects, was lovely. Fast forward to 4 months ago when I noticed that the seams of the wood in the headboard were splitting and pulling away. Added to this was the fact that the stain continued to rub off. I went back to Lisa who said she would underwrite the repairs. I consulted three furniture restorers and all three refused to take it on because of the spool posts which they felt would require endless hours of sanding. I then asked Lisa to either replace the bed or refund my money. She said she would “issue a credit towards a future purchase” but that I would have to send the bed back at my expense. It cost me over $1000 to have it sent to me initially. We are now at an impasse. The Beautiful Bed Company has beautiful furniture designs. The problem is their construction which, in my case, was exceedingly poor. My advice is, if you live in a remote location where shipping/delivery costs are high, buy from another vendor.

I am so happy that The Beautiful Bed Company made a presense on the interior design world! Their beds are like no others. We look forward to specifying more of their furniture in the future!

Lisa is wonderful to work with. She is so very helpful in the customization process whether selecting hardware or choosing a shade of paint. No need to worry about shipping either. I have bought two beautiful pieces of her furniture and both arrived in perfect condition due to their careful packing and white glove delivery service. Can’t say enough good things!

I ordered a spindle bed frame in black and it is beautiful, just what I imagined it to be. I ordered from the website, sight unseen and the bed is solid, beautifully crafted with a gorgeous finish. It was delivered on time and the freight company, selected by Lisa, assembled it right in my bedroom. I could not be happier!

The Beautiful Bed Company has made 2 show-stopper beds for our family, and we love them so much that we have ordered a 3rd. The quality of construction and finish is truly top notch. Lisa is very good with color and she was enormously helpful when selecting the right color match for our fabrics.
