We knew going into our kitchen remodel that we would be remodeling our kitchen in phases. Bootlace had some large projects going on and they were working us in between jobs. The final product took nearly a year, but completely worth it. It has been 2 years and people are still awed by it. EJ never let me know if he was annoyed with me when I made changes (I might have changed the refrigerator specs several times causing changes to the drawings) even though I am sure he was. However, when you work with someone like Ryan for a full year, you miss him when he is gone. I need to find more work for them so they will come back. The bar used to be a coat closet, and the refrigerator/pantry wall used to be a desk that was only used to stack junk. We now have more storage than we can use. That is never a bad problem to have with condo living.

As an architect and an artist we were very particular about the design and feel that we wanted for our kitchen. Ryan and his crew collaborated with us in creating a beautiful, functional and highly efficient kitchen. They were very skillful in working through idiosyncrasies of our 1919 house, and took great care in the detail and craftsmanship of the cabinetry. The entire team was very professional and a pleasure to work with. We love our kitchen!

We used Bootlace Design and Build (BDB) to design, build, and install a custom fireplace with an entertainment cabinet, a full kitchen remodel, and a custom office desk. Ryan Comment of Bootlace design took a simple concept drawing we had made and turned it into reality. We wanted to replace some inexpensive bookcases we had in our office with builtin bookcases with hanging file storage below and a window seat in-between. The results exceeded our expectations. We were impressed from the beginning with Ryan's patience with us as we discussed and changed the plan with his assistance. We were very impressed with his attention to detail both in the planning and installation of the projects.

Ryan and his team were terrific! Our new kitchen was made with beautiful bamboo and looks wonderful. The quality of the work and attention to detail was outstanding. They were easy to work with and very helpful to suggest ways to keep within our budget yet still have an uncompromising result. The space was limited for our remodel but everything we asked for was included. The workings of the slow-close drawers and doors is a most enjoyable feature. We very highly reccomend this company. You won't find better craftsmen.

Our kitchen remodel was a wonderful experience. We had struggled to get local companies to understand what we had in mind with a more European design using frameless cabinetry. Ryan was recommended by a friend of our son's. When we met with Ryan he knew instantly what we wanted providing a layout and bid to us in a timely manner. He used a computer program to keep us informed of any changes that were made to the original layouts. The workmanship was impeccable. Ryan personally oversaw the installation of all of our cabinets. He is very particular and gave great attention to detail. I absolutely love my new kitchen! There is not one thing that I would change! We highly recommend Ryan and his company.
