Working with Sara (Inspired by Design, LLC)is a wonderful experience. Sara is very personable and is a very talented interior designer. She is always ready to help us through major changes that we are making inside and outside of our house. I know we could not do this without her. Sara really listens to what we want and need and makes excellent suggestions that we would never have thought of without her. She makes suggestions that are practical and aesthetic. Sara is very quick to respond to phone calls and texts. She is a strong advocate for us in working with contractors and has excellent community contacts. Her level of professionalism, attention to detail and client focus is really amazing.

Sara & her team were awesome to work with! Our first project involved a complete kitchen remodel, mudroom & laundry room areas. More recently, a master bedroom, bathroom, closet & 2 fireplace areas. I never felt overwhelmed by the options, all projects started & ended on time. This hails in comparison, to our first house, years ago we were "do-it-yourselfers." But, struggled to get anyone from the trades (plumbing, HVAC, etc.) to show-up, & feel like we received a fair price. I never had to worry about that with her team. Sara really serves as the "Project Manager" keeping all vendors organized. I will also add, her team was fantastic with our 2 big dogs - a bonus for sure!

Sara is an exceptionally talented designer who truly enjoys working with her clients. She walked alongside us every step of the way during our project, and created a space that is not only beautiful but also functional and well-suited to our personal needs and tastes. One of the things we appreciated most about working with Sara was her ability to lead when needed, but never to crowd or rush us. She listened carefully to our needs and preferences and always took them into account when making design recommendations. Sara has excellent project management skills and is aligned with the best vendors and contractors in the area, all of whom were top-notch professionals. This made the entire process seamless and stress-free for us.

Ever since moving into my house, I have been building up a wish list of big projects and renovations to complete. That wish list sat and grew for eight years while I sat overwhelmed, not knowing the next steps for making those wish list items reality. What kinds of contractors do I need? Who helps interpret my vision and draw up plans? How do I press “go?” When I first met Sara at Inspired by Design, I realized that hiring her was the only “next step” I needed to take to get the ball rolling on our first big project, which involved completely renovating half of the first floor of our house. Sara listened intently to my vision and goals. She drew up a game plan and patiently worked with me to refine it to meet my needs. We settled on a plan that would involve removing a wall and closet to combine our kitchen and dining room, building a wall to create a makeshift mud room, and updating the adjoined first-floor bathroom. Sara had a lineup of vetted and trusted contractors who she brought in to provide estimates and bring my vision to life. I cannot overstate the benefit of having Sara manage our renovation project: her years of experience and relationship-building relieved me of the burden of agonizing over contractor choices and coordination, and ensured our project would run seamlessly and, most surprisingly, on time. Each contractor she brought in completed high-quality work and was incredibly respectful. But, on top of pulling the logistics strings in the background, Sara used her expert design skills to help achieve a stunning and functional result. She helped me make selections that fit my personal style so that I did not have to feel like I was living in someone else’s house, while also advising me on where I may want to reign it in for future resale purposes. She was attentive to the needs of my household members—two full-time working adults and two very young children who want to be hands-on in the kitchen—and offered insight specific to those needs. For example, she would tell me when one of my selections would be difficult to clean; and how to select layout, flow and organization options to allow for a kid and mess-friendly space. In addition to all of that, she was not afraid to give me a budget reality-check when needed, to help me prioritize where to spend more money and where we could cut back to fit our budget and to avoid going too over-the-top compared to other homes in our neighborhood. When our project was completed, Sara didn’t leave us hanging: she helped tie up loose ends and resolve the rare issue that arose. Overall, Sara was easy to work with and by doing the heavy lifting for me, she even made the process fun. She never made me feel like a burden, always making time to answer my questions and talk through things. She and her team are a joy to deal with, and I already cannot wait for the next project, if not just to keep her around a bit longer. Thank you, Sara, for everything!

We hired Sara for our kitchen remodel project with only a vague idea of what we wanted. Sara gently led us in the direction we needed to go. The end result is perfect. Her design services were excellent and the project management was beyond our expectations. The subcontractors were all responsive and a pleasure to work with. We would certainly choose Sara for any future remodeling projects and recommend her to anyone else who is considering a project.

I don't think you can go wrong with Sara at the helm of your project! She really had great ideas, but is also able to quickly transform ideas into action. She really listened to learn where we wanted to go, and she helped us in areas where we were uncertain. We love our kitchen, laundry room and entryway. You can tell he has strong relationships with the various contractors, and they all do very good work. I'm hesitant to give this review, as I want to make sure she never becomes too busy to help us in the future! We really appreciate the relationship we have with Sara.

We purchased and built out a condo in downtown Wausau. From the very start Sara was a 1st class professional. Easy to talk to and understood what we wanted. Her experience and ideas gave us an incredible amount of confidence. She communicated her vision of our now home perfectly. Her vision and ideas transformed the entire look. And she seemed to know everyone necessary to creat her vision. She held everyone accountable and was never afraid to take the lead on anything necessary to ensure the finished product was exactly the vision she created. We are beyond ecstatic with Sara!! At first, we just wanted Sara to help us with a few details in a bathroom we are installing on our second floor, she helped us with so much more! She helped us with colors, flooring, countertop and stairway finish. She was great with keeping things simple for us. She also saved us a lot of money on some costly mistakes we would’ve made had we not had her! Sara is very knowledgeable, professional and personable! We can’t say enough about Sara. She helped us some last year with an office remodel project we worked on. When we wanted to start working on some home updating projects, we called Sara. This time we wanted her guidance not only on color and design choices, but also to have her be our GC. We trusted Sara with all her subcontractor choices. She did not let us down. Our project was completed in just 3.5 weeks and included a new wet bar, flooring, painting, lighting, new interior panel doors and exterior door. We highly recommend Sara no matter what you are looking for. She is responsive and will do as little or as much as you want. We look forward to working with her again in the future.

We were so excited to be building our dream home when we moved to West Bend, but we were incredibly overwhelmed with the daunting task of picking all of our finishes. My husband’s taste is very rustic and colorful while I tend to like neutrals and classic textures. We chose Sara as our designer after touring her house in the Wausau Parade of Homes back when we lived there. We both absolutely loved her style and knew she was the one who could bring our visions to fruition. Sara traveled to the Milwaukee area to walk us through the process from beginning to end helping meld our ideas into one amazing design we both love. She took, what could be a stressful situation for any couple, and made it feel exciting and effortless. We would highly recommend Sara, she is a true professional!

Sara is wonderful to work with. She did an excellent job with our remodel design. Then she acted as our GC, bringing in contractors she trusted to do the work. She is responsive and kept the contractors on schedule. The final product was amazing and we have had countless compliments on the beauty and quality. The scope of the project was large: replace the floors, kitchen redesign and expansion, living room redesign, office redesign and several new windows. The price was very good considering the scope of the changes. We would definitely use her again.

One of the best things we did when building our new home was have Sara give us guidance. We have a 20x40 great room with many elements (wood, stone, metal and large windows) in it so we wanted a little help with making sure it all blended. We also looked to her for color choices in other rooms. Well, Sara was key to how much we love the design. This is a "We nailed it" design....because of Sara's eye. She steered us toward and away from different ideas we had...thank goodness! Her professionalism, keen eye, responsiveness, and ability to "see our vision" is beyond expectations! The best thing I ever did was call Sara to help with my remodel project. I was instantly comfortable with hiring her when I noticed how much she listened to my concerns and ideas. It was incredible to have someone coordinate the different jobs in such an efficient manner. Her knowledge about materials was spot on. I couldn't be happier with the countertops, flooring, doors, woodwork, and redone bathrooms. The subcontractors Sara works with were fantastic. I have a very old small house that we fell in love with. It needed a lot of work. I didn't know how to go about renovating the parts we needed, but then came Sara. Inspired by Design has now completed total renovations on my bathroom and my kitchen. The outcome is stunning. I love Sara's collaborative style and her advice. She communicated with us throughout the process and she made me feel like I was a priority. Her subcontractors were professional and completed work on schedule. Sara helped me stick to a budget I was comfortable with and she helped me determine where I should splurge and where I should save. My family enjoys our beautiful rooms every single day and it has dramatically improved our quality of life. I can not recommend Inspired by Design enough.

We had some ideas about updating our bathroom, but weren't sure about what would work best. Sara helped us figure that out. We could have quit there, but we opted to have her guide the entire process. We're both very happy with the results. The only problem: the bathroom's now the nicest room in the house.

We needed a total remodel of our master bathroom. Sara’s name was given to us by a friend we trusted. From our first meeting she made me feel so comfortable and her questions helped me decide a direction to take. We met and picked everything out and again I loved how she helped me think things through. My favorite thing in hiring her is that she set up a schedule with all the contractors she works with and they were all there on the days she had them scheduled. Sara is a gifted designer. I’ve used her in three home remodeling projects. Each project required different levels of services, from helping me with dining room furniture selection, to redecorating the lower level family room with new furniture, wall treatments and light fixtures, to a complete kitchen remodel. In all of these projects she listened to my wants, needs and created a design that I could have never imaged. I still walk in the remodeled rooms and smile on how happy and pleased I am with the new look. We had a really good experience working with Sara. We needed some good ideas of how to remodel our master bathroom and our daughters bathroom into a space more usable for our family. She came up with a couple different options for us and really worked with us to make the perfect bathroom. The contractors she works with were very good and responsive to our needs. Sara was fabulous to work with. I lived almost 15 years with a bathroom I hated because I was afraid to try to coordinate a renovation project myself.
