Joyce Design Works

My background is in Interior design and Architecture. After traveling Europe many years ago, I was inspired to study design. I attended and received my bachelor of science degree in Interior Design from the "Academy of Arts College" in San Francisco, California in 1989. My early career in design included full service design projects, representing furniture makers and lighting design. In 1996 I decided that I would specialize in the exciting industry of Kitchen and Bath design. Which lead me to work as a Designer/Sales with "Gilmans Kitchen and Bath". With GKandB my career has been very creative and rewarding, having the opportunity to work with home owners, Interior Designers, Architects and General Contractors on their Kitchen and Bath remodels. Through out my career I had opportunity to further my studies and training in Kitchen and Bath Design as a member of NKBA, NARI and attending industry seminars and trade shows. As a CKD certificated Kitchen Designer, also certificated in "Green Design" this background and expertise is reflected in all my projects. Several project have been published and photographed as featured on "Houzz" and my web site. Today, my position with GKandB is "Showroom Coordinator" which even though I still work with referral clients, this position requires my expert background in designing our four Bay area showrooms and over seeing our product lines and resource/sample library. I'm very grateful to have such an awesome career in design and appreciate the opportunity to influence the quality of life for many people.
